Rapid Wind

@Seamore Sandwich Discord led them to a small cafe and pulled out a chair for Fluttershy, for which Fluttershy smiled and accepted his kind gesture and took the seat and then pulled out one for Starlight and he thought about whether her reaction would be the same as Fluttershy and thought it likely not to be as Fluttershy knew him better, but he also decided he would let her make the choice. @Blitz Boom & @Seamore Sandwich Rapid Wind found the ground entrance and was halted by the guards, but they recognised Stargazer. "Spike informed us for your request to meet Princess Twilight, but we must ask if this Pegasus is with you or not," a guard boldly stated.

@Seamore Sandwich So, me and Blitz Boom are now outside Twilight's castle. So, I would just like to know whether you intend to RP Twilight being there or not. The choice is yours and I will wait patiently for an answer. Rapid Wind.

@Blitz Boom "Yeah," Rapid Wind agreed with Stargazer and admired the crystalline tree structure a bit more as he and Stargazer were now close enough to it. As he trotted closer to the ground entrance, he expected a guard to show up as he didn't expect Princess Twilight to let just any pony wonder into her castle without taking some security precautions.

@Blitz Boom Rapid Wind feared Stargazer would push more for answers despite his answer because Rapid knew he had lied. So, to get it off his mind and put a bit of distance between him and Stargazer, Rapid Wind trotted faster toward Twilight's castle. In general, Rapid didn't like to lie because lies in general had a habit of coming back to haunt you at a later date.

@Blitz Boom "Uh... they're just recovering from a patch-up I had back in Fillydelphia," Rapid Wind lied. His lie a little more obvious thanks to his initial stutter. His real reason for not wanting to stretch his wings and fly had to do with a past trauma. "Besides, no harm in trotting and getting the leg muscles working," Rapid Wind commented and did a couple of push-ups.

@Blitz Boom "I suppose we'll see," said Rapid Wind as he trotted along the ground toward Twilight's castle. Considering just how much quicker flying would be Stargazer might be questioning why Rapid perferred trotting rather than spreading his wings and gaining flight.

@Blitz Boom & @Seamore Sandwich I'm back. Still quite a busy person, but I've left a post. Slow and steady is advised, but other than that. .

@Blitz Boom "I really do want to see Twilight's castle, both outside and inside," Rapid Wind replied with a bit of enthusiasm. Plus, if there was a chance of meeting the Princess of Friendship. It really shouldn't be turned down. So, he looked toward the way out with eagerness. @Seamore Sandwich Discord happened to look back at Starlight and got a little concerned. He could see something was bothering her, but decided to ask at the café and the three of them were almost there. Fluttershy noticed Discord looking back too and watched him carefully with studying green eyes. However, after seeing him take the lead and lead the way again, sighed and followed on behind him.

@Blitz Boom & @Seamore Sandwich I'm thinking of sending Rapid Wind to Twilight's castle next. Is this okay with both of you?

"Just three possibles," Rapid Wind sighed openly and made for the exit. His mind was now on exploring the rest of Ponyville before it got too late in the day and perhaps to visit Twilight's Castle too. However, he managed to make a mental note of the three jobs that had interested him in his mind, so all he had to do was remember.

@Blitz Boom Rapid Wind found himself wondering just what the mayor and Stargazer had been joking about and thought about asking Stargazer, but then thought finding a new job for himself in Ponyville was more important. Plus, he had already had seven minutes worth of looking. The most tempting offer he had seen so far was to go and work as a handy pony for the spa. Ever since he had lost confidence in flight, Rapid had been doing odd jobs which didn't involve flying and the handy pony job seemed doable without much flight. However, it wasn't his only interest. A job at a cafe also drew his attention as he had been a waiter before and though he felt he shouldn't be interested, a position amongst the weather team was available. It caused him great conflict to even consider it since it would definitely involve flying, but did he want to be a mostly grounded Pegasus for the rest of his life? Rapid Wind didn't know, but rather than stand around and make Stargazer wait, he made a mental note of all three jobs. "Yeah, I've seen three possibles, I'll get started on applying from them tomorrow," Rapid Wind said as he thought it would be best to explore the rest of Ponyville first and he remembered he still hadn't visited Twilight's castle and that had the potential to be interesting.

@Blitz Boom Rapid Wind paid little mind to the mayor's happy tone as he briefly heard it. He assumed any town official would at least pretend to be happy and social to maintain position and authority. Instead, he gave the receptionist a small nod as a greeting and then went over to the billboard to check the jobs. There were quite a few choices, so Rapid Wind browsed amongst the posters. He did also notice the pets missing posters and other posters, but for now his concentration was on job advertisements. @Seamore Sandwich "Oh, I have the perfect place in mind," Discord chuckled. "Where's that?" Fluttershy asked with a bit of stubbornness, because she thought Discord was going to grab her and Starlight and teleport them there. Discord was tempted, but he had made his dear Fluttershy scowl once already and so restrained himself. "Follow me," Discord said, using his weird wings to become aloft in the sky and began leading the way to the café he had in mind. Fluttershy decided to follow to see what Discord might get up next.

@Blitz Boom "Sounds good to me," Rapid Wind commented about the billboard as it felt it likely there were jobs posted on it. Rapid Wind was unaware Stargazer had thoughts about Mayor Mare, but he drank his cup of coffee in one gulp and got up and was raring to go.

@Blitz Boom "Town hall, I need to start looking for jobs," Rapid Wind commented thinking it quite likely town hall had a job information board or a place where jobs were advertised. It would make sense in Rapid's opinion. He wondered what job he would take, but decided that would depend on what was on offer.

Question: So any pony can enter, even a pony that's new? I might give it a crack for fun.

@Blitz Boom Rapid Wind was startled back into the present moment by the original loud noise. He immediately went looking for the source and watched a unicorn pony reattach her musical equipment and then start dancing to a strange beat. Despite being startled, Rapid Wind had been drawn back to the present moment thanks to the loud noise and the pony was already wearing headphones and wouldn't hear him if he complained, so he turned his attention back to Stargazer.

@Seamore Sandwich "Oh, but having a pet isn't about having a position of authority over them unless you have to," Fluttershy answered, "You'll learn companionship and just how to love one." "Oh, but you did hear what Starlight said, didn't you, Fluttershy?" asked Discord in a manipulative manner and hugged Starlight into his grasp. "It's two votes to go to the café against one, we win," Discord chuckled and stroked Starlight's mane as a thank you for agreeing with him with his lion paw. Fluttershy shot Discord a glare and Discord reluctantly released Starlight from his grasp.

@Blitz Boom Rapid Wind scowled at Stargazer's chuckle, but he did find the story he told afterwards a bit amusing and smiled a bit. He just wasn't sure about finding a good mare or any mare for that matter. Just the awkwardness to have to kiss one under mistletoe would be enough to freak Rapid Wind out. Indeed, strangely he found himself recalling a long suppressed memory of his early school years and accidentally being under mistletoe with a mare classmate. He had bolted and was too afraid to honour the tradition of kissing the mare. The memory seemed to entrance Rapid Wind entirely and he needed to brought back to reality with being spoken to or something to draw his attention like a loud noise.

@Blitz Boom "So, you know what it's like," Rapid Wind said, feeling that Stargazer was understanding his nervous feelings rather than laughing at them. "Just don't set me up on blind dates okay, a bully did that once to me and his marefriend didn't leave me alone for days as they tried to get me to kiss her, it ultimately only fell apart when they found a new victim," Rapid Wind continued and remembered the bully that had done that to him.

@Blitz Boom "I don't even have a marefriend," Rapid Wind admitted nervously. "I get a tiny bit freaked out whenever Hearts and Hooves Day comes around and you can laugh if you want, some colts and stallions did back in Fillydelphia. Used to say which colt or stallion could possibly be afraid or freak out when a date is on the cards," Rapid Wind said. Rapid Wind hoped Stargazer wouldn't laugh as it would hurt his feelings and remind him of the bullies.

@Blitz Boom Rapid Wind noticed Stargazer re-join the line and decided to have another coffee himself. Rapid even felt he kinda needed it. It had made him feel glum when he saw Stargazer shed a tear for his daughter. Rapid Wind didn't have any siblings and only a Dad who now lived and worked far away in Fillydelphia. Rapid just thought another coffee would cheer him up from his glumness.

@Blitz Boom "Perhaps it's best I step out for a bit," Rapid Wind suggested as he thought it would be easier for Stargazer to sort something out for Jelly Drop without him being around. Plus, with no younger siblings Rapid Wind felt a little inexperienced and out of his depth.

@Seamore Sandwich ​ ​"We could always go over to my cottage, I'm pretty sure maybe a new animal friend is waiting for you," Fluttershy said, thinking Starlight might like to have a pet. "How about we go to a café first?" Discord asked, "I'm feeling a little peckish." "Umm..." Fluttershy answered as she wasn't 100% sure this was a good idea and though Discord was reformed and her friend, he was still the spirit of chaos and liked to do the occasional prank. "So, what do you say, Starlight? Go to a café to get a bite to eat or to Fluttershy's cottage?" Discord asked as he thought about Starlight's opinion. He also thought to himself if Starlight agreed with him, Fluttershy would have to nod and come along. @Blitz Boom Rapid Wind didn't answer until the spider had gone into Jelly Drop's mane. "I'm Rapid Wind," he answered in a bit of a spooked voice as he didn't like to imagine a spider crawling its way around his mane or body.

@Blitz Boom Rapid Wind watched with a bit of shock on his face as he learned Stargazer had a daughter. The spider on her tail kinda freaked him too. While some ponies may desire spiders as pets, Rapid Wind did not. However, Rapid Wind was also slightly amused as Stargazer seemed to be an error loading mode. The spider gained his main focus though as he wanted to avoid it touching him or getting too close to him.

Hi again. I would like to know more about joining this FimFiction community as I aspire to write fanfics. Mostly because I feel I need an outlet for my imagination, but maybe for more. Rapid Wind.
