  1. It would never happen, even if it were possible. There's been talk now for decades of bringing back the Woolly Mammoth from remains found in Siberia, "Oh within the next ten years this will be a reality..." and then you never hear about it again. Humans are more skilled at procrastination than in technology, so it's a moot issue. However, on just a philosophical level, sure, it would be great to have pastel ponies galloping around and spreading friendship. It would certainly brighten up the world. And who knows? Maybe they could even use their magic to create an intelligent human!
  2. It sure seems a solid possibility. He could probably use any form he wanted in either world as well. That would be a great idea to liven up EQG.
  3. Tombstone. Really a strong western with all the elements of any great movie. It had been a long time since I'd last seen it but catching up with it again reminded me just how good this movie is.
  4. This is Anaheim, CA. It may not be dramatic as some of the beautiful places posted here, but we have our castles too. That green patch in the middle is Disneyland, with a castle at its center.
  5. Hopefully it would mean humans would have more time and freedom to use their creativity. But realistically, it would just create a society where tech jobs are more prevalent to design, build and program the machines. Just as it is with computers now, robotic machines would be tweaked, rearranged and re-sold without much significant improvement. So they won't go anywhere, and humans won't either. Computers and modern technology haven't really changed the world to the point where humans can blissfully lounge about all day and think deep philosophical thoughts, or forge a Utopian existence while the machines do the grunt work. This would still require human beings to actually get off their butts and start thinking for themselves and stop being programmed like the machines they build. Until that happens, machines will take over the world, and in a sense, already have.
  6. I've been thinking that I joined this forum about a month and a half ago and haven't gotten anything else done in that entire time. All my free time is spent here instead of on my creative projects which are stacking up and not getting finished. I wish this place was less fun, dammit!
  7. Twilight would jump on the opportunity to learn the new species. Fluttershy would quickly befriend it and give it a nice little corner of her living room by the fireplace. Pinkie Pie would confuse it into a non-threatening state through the power of party. Rainbow Dash would put it to a test of speed, strength and agility. Applejack would probably teach it to knock apples out of trees and put it to work on the farm. Rarity would get it into a spa treatment to sooth the savage beast. If it were truly savage and no pony could tame it, the writers would make it apologize for all it's natural instincts and make him one of the Mane 6 7.
  8. Rarity, that part's easy. Fashionable, creative, generous. Twilight, not a perfect fit but has curiosity and love of learning and discovery. A little nerdy too. (That last part especially!) Celestia, very dubious fit. I'm kind of like a mother hen sometimes and keep things held together for people around me, so in that way, sort of. Some of the background ponies would suit me better because I'm more of a background fixture.
  9. Rarity! She and I could go do all those fun girl things like shop, try on clothes, get our hair done, try on clothes, get a spa treatment, oh, and try on clothes! Such fun!
  10. I try to eat a salad a couple times a week just to balance out all the trash I stuff down my gullet all the time. This way I feel less guilty about ordering that extra bag of fries. Mmm, pass the ketchup!
  11. N64, but only because it's got the best controller ever.
  12. I've had this one in my mind all day and most of last night. It's one of those songs I like to have stuck in my head.
  13. I use my iPod. I have my music downloaded and ready to go. My regular stereo is a piece of crap (15 years old) and doesn't play my old cassettes anymore. Luckily I have most of my old rare stuff transferred.
  14. eHarmony is a terrible site for dating. They never tell you there's a fee until after your three-hour questionnaire. Match is worse, it's nothing but a scam site. Plenty of Fish I sense is up to something, well, fishy, because they access personal information that is not voluntarily given. So far the best of a bad lot is OKCupid. But there is a lot to be said for the 'real deal' and meeting a girl in person. This is not always easy of course. It is good to frequent places of interest to you where girls might share your interests. Work and school are very handy because there you have a captive audience (just don't abuse it). The biggest obstacle is getting a girl to talk to you to begin with. Most girls would be receptive if they knew you better from the start, but seldom give you (or themselves) the chance to make that happen. If they have to interact, you'll both have a better chance. It's not sexual harassment, that nonsense is often taken too far. Rather, it's just being sociable. Don't come on too strong, and try going into it without expectations of getting anything out of it. Remember, girls have different social agendas then guys. Just enjoy the moment and let things develop on their own, if they develop. If they don't, try again with someone more receptive.
  15. If the earth was hollow...we'd have a lot more storage space.
  16. Jambalaya. The Zatarain's kind with extra chicken, sausage, shrimp and scallops added. Sooo good.
  17. I usually go barefoot in the house. Even when it's cold. In extreme circumstances I'll put on some slippers or something, but that's about it. I like the soft carpet on my toes.
  18. When I'm around people I get extroverted. I don't always go out seeking company, but when I find myself among people I tend to be a bit of a talker. But when I'm alone and focusing on something creative or other work, I retreat into my shell and very little can pry me out. So I guess I go both ways depending on the circumstances.
  19. I go to the gym twice a week and spend about an hour and a half each time. The first one is usually cardio (elliptical machine and aerobics), and the other is light weights. It's not much but just enough to keep things from sagging.
  20. Welcome, GodLovesPonies! Nice to have you join our little flock! Lots of friendly ponies here and lots to talk about! Can't wait to see you on the boards!
  21. Art or writing. If I'm too stressed to focus on anything I'll watch a soothing movie or cartoon (Savannah Smiles, Tangled, From Up On Poppy Hill to name a few of my 'big guns'). Sometimes it's restful just to lie on the bed in the dark and think (not about stressful stuff of course, just stuff).
  22. I could easily see Disney trying to own anything it could get its hands on that would make a profit. And with Disney's bottomless resources, they would make a profit with MLP. I used to think Star Wars would benefit from Disney's direction but how much wronger could I have been? It's just a polished product now with no soul. An MLP movie would hold up fine against other Disney's because they would try to maintain a similar standard as they do with all their properties. This may not be considered a great standard, but it would be uniform. The biggest problem is that Disney is of a mind that you can just throw money at something and it'll fool enough of the public to pass the grade. But you can't catch lightning in a bottle that way. True inspiration suffers, and such would be the case here. And Disney would definitely welcome the Brony fandom because all they see are walking, talking dollars. And there are a lot of dollars there.
  23. Losing myself in another world populated by pastel ponies, friendship and magic is a perfect way to drain away the stresses of life. They can inspire, calm and entertain in such a way that everything else just seems insignificant. And if they happen to include a nice song as well, so much the better.
  24. I've always been a solitary fan of the things I've liked. Not until MLP did I get into forums and stuff. So I guess I'd just go back to my old ways again.
  25. I can go with either. Probably ketchup more though. I prefer malt vinegar, tartar sauce or some kind of hot sauce though ideally.
