Simply put. We are most likely NEVER going to see any really important character in the show hook up with anyone in a cannon way. _ Now shipping is another story. And the answer is no.... No Sunset ship is exceptable except Sunset Sparkle.... Twilight Shimmer? Sci-Shimmer?..... You get my point. I will fight you all over this. ~Puts up hooves~

rainbow rocks Did Twilight fail in her role as Princess of Friendship in Rainbow Rocks?
blackstarraven replied to Twilight-Shimmer's topic in Equestria Girls
Problem with this ideal with Queen Cheeselegs and the Three in Rainbow Rocks is simple. You can't FORCE someone to be your friend. It's like forcing some one to be free. You can lead a changeling to friendship but you can't make them Friendly. - There is another thing to be considered. _ I call it the green goblin problem. The problem is simple..... Just like spiderman with the whole gwen stacy thing. There is a simple lesson that must be taught to all hero's..... you can't save everyone. Nor should you be expected to. And with friendship it's a two way street. it's like a hero holding there hand out to a villain hanging off a cliff... and saying "Take my hand." If the villain looks and then and state. "No." And then lets go. the Hero didn't fail. The Villian was simply playing the game by different rules. -
Why can't I just sleep? Is that really to much to ask?

I more think about it from the perspective of a social science study. (My Training after all) Things like. How does Equestrian Government actually work? Is Celestia Really a Benevolent Dictator? A Enlightened Despotism? The emotional social issues... Imagine what it was like to Be Celestia for 1000 years having banished your own sister. (Who would be one of the few people that she could actually have bond with for a long time) Just how prescient is CELESTIA? I mean I get real God-Emporere of Dune vibes from her. Like can she tell the future or is she just so good and guessing/figuring things out that shes just that accurate.... I here a lot of otherponies talking about how they wish that Eqestria was real.. (I point to Many worlds to make the note it HAS TO BE real, just in what reality) And really I disagree I rather like this world. If I wanted to live in Eqestria it would be for one reason. Because they actually have a hand full of leaders that I could actually get behind and serve... SIgh me up for Princess Celestia elite shadow death squad.... I wonder was Pony Fedaykin and Sardaukar would be like..... _____________________________ Well I have to add Pony Dune to my list of things that need to be a thing.

Classic "Trading days" Fanfic. Princess Luna / Princess Celesta trade duties for the day/night for one day. Luna has to learn what a terrible hassle dealing with all those ponies is. Celestia has to learn how loanly Luna's night is.

movies/tv Getting sick of live action "insert disney movie here"
blackstarraven replied to BlinkZ's topic in Media Discussion
Live action movies of Animated movies THAT DIDN'T NEED TO BE REMADE.. I own Disney Stock and am making bank off of live-action movies they make.... AND I'M ALREADY SICK OF THEM. -
I'm thinking I should have forced them to kick me out of the Military instead of leaving after getting injured. Because job searching is the worst. Most stressful thing in my life... It's literally more stressful then being shot at for me.

Moved around a lot because my mom-dad where both in the Marines. When I was 6 my mother was diagnosed with Lupis while she was pregnant with my younger brother.. Bother didn't live and mother almost died in child birth. Got very sick and had to leave the military. Mom got a job teaching college. Dad bot a job as a Sheriff. We lived in my dads home town in Clay County Ky. When I was 10 my mother got so weak/sick that she could no longer work, I had to spend a lot of time helping her. When I was 11 my father was shot at a random traffic stop. Was bed ridden... I was sexually abused at 12 by a uncle. I had to start taking care of the house and all the work. My older brothers/sisters left for college and never came back to help. - In a odd way I had a huge amount of freedom. I could/did go where I wanted and do what I wanted without telling my parents. (They where to sick to really say anything) I spend a lot of time in the woods of our family property. Took care of our families animals and farm. It was nice in it's own way. But I was also living in a 190 year old house that needed constant repair to not fall apart and was doing it on a shoe string budget. (I actually took to using hand tools to fell trees and make the materials I needed) - Left school at 15 and tested out of high school. (Got my High School degree at 15) By the time we where 15 we had lost our house because of lowered income, and moved to my father family home. House was falling apart. Had to constantly work on it, living in a house without water or heat for a while. My father started to get really passive passive with me as I got older. He resented that I was more or less the man of the house. By the time I turned 18 my mother was getting much better, she could more or less take care of herself and work a little. My father on the other hand was more or less losing his mind because of kidney failure. When I turned 18 my mother looked me strait in the face and told me "Use my G.I.Bill. Leave, don't worry about us. GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN." I joined the Army a week later and left for basic training. Got to Basic in March 2001.... ___________ In short.... My childhood sucked major ass. ___________ I'm sure that some one has had a worse child hood... Actually I know a few people who have. But to be honest at this point... I'm almost glad for mine. Nothing, and I mean nothing really phases me at this point.

The little black coated filly fluttered down to the ground looking at the little village. "Ponyville" It was a stupid name, or at least she thought so. But what ever... She shook herself a little wincing up at the sun. She still haden't really adjusted to the whole 'daylight' thing. But it was really not a question anymore. She needed to go shopping and she was hopping that this was a better option then Canterlot so she started to slow make her way into town, tucking her wings neatly, she might have tried to hide the batwings, but that would just look more awkward. And after all according to her bother she really didn't need to hide them. but her experience in Canterlot so far didn't really reflect that.

movies/tv Is there nothing to watch on TV nowadays?
blackstarraven replied to Jon the VGNerd's topic in Media Discussion
To be honest. I have always thought that TV was mostly pointless. that being stated. Not there is not really a lower quality now. If anything the opposed is true. There are a ton of nice well done shows out. Just none that I like. In the past 10 years just one after another well done and executed shows have been out... just none that I Like... see how this works. I don't like them. That does not mean they are not good. But there have been a lot of shows I did like. To the extent that a lot of my favorite shows ever have come out as of late. MLP:FIM. Avatar TLA/Korra. Adventure Time. Gravity Falls. Steven Universe. (I'm actually not a huge fan but its DAMN good) - Before that.. ya there where some good shows in the 90's / 80's. Married with Children comes to mind. A lot of cartoons. Batman TAS. All the Disney / Steven Spielburg presents stuff. Cartoon Cartoons.... And I'm missing a lot in both time periods. - Now I will say that I don't like the big stuff out right now. but its not because its not good... Its because its... well Immature. Walking Dead. Game of thrones. Breaking Bad. (Not on the air anymore but you get my point) Sons of Anarchy. All of those shows... There actually very immature. Why? Well because being based on sex, drugs, violence does not make you a mature show. it makes you immature. Heck a lot of Cartoons are more Adult now. Avatar TLA for instance it addresses a lot of very adult fears/problems. _ So in Short. No it's not TV... It's you/Me. Shows are actually mostly better now. There seam to be LESS good cartoons out but the good one's are actually higher quality. _ P.S. Go back and watch some of the really big Cartoons from the 80's. He Man, TMNT & G.I.Joe.. All... Practically unwatchable. And Transformers is not a whole lot better. _________________________________ But the big issue you most likely have is simple... TV Is dying. Because the Internet is basically TV+ Give it another... five-ten years. TV will not be a thing anymore. -

I love the character. She's basically a evil (Formerly) Version of Twilight. Which is to akward nerd... ++ for me. But HATE.... LOATH WITH THE PASSION OF A MILLION SUNS! ~All hail Celestia~ Her delivery. That is to say her back story. It basically requires the rest of the cast to be stupid when they deal with her until they/we get to like her.

Do you believe in the Mandela Effect?
blackstarraven replied to Retired's topic in General Discussion
I believe that the effect is real. But there is nothing super-scientific about it. Its pretty simple. The human brain is not wired to seek to be correct. (You must train it for that) Its wired to win a Argument. And that does include convincing yourself that your correct when all evidence states your not. _ A great example of what is wrong with the ideal is simple. Taking the Kit Kat Example. https://img.buzzfeed.com/buzzfeed-static/static/2016-10/11/16/asset/buzzfeed-prod-fastlane02/sub-buzz-7941-1476219108-1.jpg?resize=625:156&no-auto We (Some people) Remember a Kit-Kat. And this picture would support the ideal that there was once a kit-kat. But there was not.. "But what the image!" It's fake..... Just like stuff that has "Sex in the City" on it... Because it was always "Sex and the city." I can also point out MANY example from Movies. Luke I am your father. Life is like a box of chocolates. Hello Clarice. None of those lines EVER Happened. No, I am your father! Life was like a box of chocolates. ... The one from Silence never happened at all... its just "Good Morning." There are litterally tons of things that fall into this... Simply put, people will argue instead of admit they are wrong. -

spoiler How will the changelings spend their time from now on?
blackstarraven replied to ggg-2's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Actually I think they DO still need to feed. I just think they understand that they don't need to forcefully feed... So... Being sociable... Loving each other?.... So.... I expect a changeling population boom. The real question: Can they still shape shift? And if not... can't Queen Cheeselegs just infiltrate them again by changing into one of them.
