  1. Watched a live news stream regarding aftermath of today's events on the Capitol Hill. Suddenly pictures of maga-mob rushing into the building disappeared and were replaced by record of Scottish Open snooker match. Players hitting billiard balls into pockets stayed on the screen couple minutes until someone noticed and fixed their error. Most bizarre, yet relaxing minutes of this crazy day :ButtercupLaugh:I could feel the stress breaking away and my heart rate lowering

Everyone else who is bummed out by today's events, do yourself a favor, close the news and watch something boring. There's plenty of time to worry things tomorrow. Stay safe all

  2. Hi and welcome Nice that our little humble forum was able to snatch you from the rivaling pastel pony appreciation site Hopefully this place is more lively than your previous one. Have fun and enjoy your stay!
  3. Perhaps a bit in the past in my moody teen years but novadays not really. I have grown to like my birthdays again, and like back when I was a kid, also look forward to them.
  4. Do You Love Me? - YouTube Boston Dynamic's humanoid robots dancing to the beat. Haven't yet made up my mind whether to be impressed or terrified Suddenly Terminator and killer robots don't seem like a ludicrous scifi-nonsense anymore...
  5. "I was Kim Jong-il's cook", memoir by Kenji Fujimoto, personal chef of former North-Korean dictator. Weird country, weird book...
  6. Weather outside It's been so beautiful that I have smiled nonstop like a fool throughout the day
  7. I love thrift stores! I mean, what's not to like? You get to make some great bargains as well as grant items a second chance. People throw perfectly good things away, luckily at least a fraction of them ends up in thrift stores and alike instead of junkyards. I buy pretty much everything from the second hand stores.
  8. Godzilla, 2014 version. Didn't really care it too much even though everyone else seems to praise it... felt as silly as the earlier one from the late 90's
  9. Accidentally ate piece of molded bread once Easily the most vile and disgusting thing I have ever tasted. From food that's not spoiled or otherwise completely inedible, perhaps half-raw liver was the worst encounter yet
  10. Way to go Alma! Future artist in the making
  11. Welcome to the forums Caotic I'm sure you'll find new friends here in no time!
  12. 'It's a wonderful life' Classic and top notch feel-good movie
  13. Celebrated Christmas, duh i.e. I ate way too much chocolate, played board games with my family, built a snow lantern, baked gingerbread cookies...Good times
  14. I'm not sure tbh. Not really? Even though this year have been rather horrible on a grand scale of things, for me personally positives surpass negatives. Still, many issues this year had won't disappear anytime soon and they'll continue being a nuisance also in 2021. There won't be any fresh start or clean slate after new year's eve. Things will stay pretty much the same, we're all just yet another year older...
  15. Yup. It started snowing early in the morning and kept going whole day. Now we have deep and fluffy coat of fresh white snow. Just in time for Christmas!
  16. Returned home from buying christmas presents
  17. They all look great but the first one especially is charming Great job!
  18. For the last two month or so, youtube's cooking and baking channels have been taking way, way too much of my time
  19. For me it's the 2009, though purely because of personal reasons. 911, war in Iraq, Indian Ocean tsunami in '04, hurricane Katrina etc... It wasn't perfect, but all in all it was pretty great decade. At least when looking back now in 2020 No clue what might have been objectively_the_best_year
  20. I don't find that weird at all, in fact I feel that people should be more familiar with the animals they eat. Hug them, pet them or just visit on a farm and watch them if only possible
  21. Fresh, newly washed bed sheets Also, walking in the forest after rain or the first snow
  22. Sometimes the best things aren't nothing too special, rather the opposite. Are there some normal, average things that makes you feel happy or for some unexplainable reason give you joy? I, for one, have always found ironing clothes strangely relaxing. Warmth of newly printed paper is also something that never ceases to delight me
  23. Not sure if 'invaded' is the best word, but occasionally some small swarms of fruit flies occur. Probably from the dirt of my plants. And every now and then there are some silverfishes in the bathroom. Nothing too major or out of ordinary, luckily
