  1. Oh yes, many times. For instance, the time I nearly nuked a customer's store because I forgot to take a fresh backup before starting a reinstall process. I had to eat crow on that one. That suuuuuuuuuuuuucked.
  2. If I don't have a smart device with me in there, I go stir crazy. It's the perfect time to browse ebay for a new big box. Not doing anything else, might as well shop. Though, I'm not above tech supporting from there either. I have, on several occasions, fixed a customer issue. o.o
  3. Usually "can I go back to sleep now?" No. The answer is always no.
  4. Humming mainly. I don't realize I'm doing it until someone throws something at me. xD
  5. I'm more of a tech writer as it comes with the career field I'm in, but I do like to write when I have a good opportunity. It's just not super often that I actually write something outside of a roleplay. I'd say that I'm passionate about it. I do love writing some good smut. :p
  6. Pretty sure my boyfriend isn't a member here so special somepony's out big time. xD I don't think anyone here even likes me, which wouldn't be a surprise. I can be kinda abrasive.
  7. Hentai gets the censor bat all the time. So yes, Japan still has a contingent of pro-censorship people floating around. However, it's mostly archaic these days and nobody wanted to tackle it for fear of being seen as immoral. So good on this guy for standing up for what we need more of: anime tiddies.
  8. Any of them going at that price are either fake or used. I wouldn't trust any site selling a "new" Oculus Rift that far below MSRP. Your chances of getting scammed fly through the roof.
  9. I'm ambivalent about loot boxes. On one hand, they're of great benefit to the industry. With the continuing rise in production costs for larger budget titles, continual revenue streams versus the pay up front model gives back to the people who make games without requiring extra effort making content. However, the way they've been used is the main issue with them. They're treated as a cash grab instead of a fun extra. Many games make you feel as though you must spend extra money to keep up or to look cool. Very few iterations of loot boxes and the like have actually made anyone feel good about spending money on them, because they feel so forced. And they're usually too expensive so it really feels like you're getting fucked instead of rewarded for being a good customer. While they have great potential benefit, their current implementation will inevitably lead to their ban instead of remaining a nice extra people can opt into.
  10. An older shot, but it's still about like this. Don't mind the basement. It's been cleaned up a little since then. xD
  11. Girls beating the shit out of people to rescue their boyfriends? Yes please.
  12. tumblr was a shitpile before they banned porn. It just got worse and I wouldn't be surprised if tumblr was actually losing money at this point. From $1.1bn to $3mln is one hell of a drop in price. That, to me, says Verizon just wanted to dump it off.
  13. Space and time are probably up at the top for me. They're fascinating concepts to study and they're actually mathematically linked. Though, I will always have a soft spot for the wildcard element, the aether. Prior to the Michelson-Morley Experiment, it was the working theorem for how light traveled. It's bullshit, but still a fascinating concept.
  14. Oh, I've been banned from a bunch of places. Some permanently, some temporarily. I've gotten myself banned on purpose by being a filthy cave troll on numerous occasions because the staff was a bunch of fuckknuckles and ran the place into the ground. So I just got banned for laughs.
  15. I am one hundred percent introvert. I don't like going out, I don't really like socializing and I like keeping to myself. Socialization is exhausting and wears me all the way down. Having social anxiety and (very likely having) Asperger's makes it doubly difficult. So... I don't fall in the middle space, which is an ambivert, which most people tend to be.
  16. I'm working in IT, which is what I've wanted to do since I was 15. For a while, I was in the general tech support side of things but I'm trying to work my way back into software development. Even if I don't get specifically to that, I have enough knowledge to be a general IT specialist or a system administrator. I gave myself options.
  17. I met my best friend online almost 12 years ago now. Been best friends ever since. I even met my current boyfriend on Discord. Online is easier for me since I don't human good.
  18. In Missouri, where I live, it's $8.60 an hour. In Kansas, where I work, it's $7.25. Big oof. I make a fair bit more than that these days.
  19. I listen to the white noise created by fans. I cannot sleep in silence. Tinnitus and such, yo.
  20. I live in a small town roughly thirty minutes east of Kansas City on the Missouri side. I live in a relatively newer part of the town, but it's still on the edge of unincorporated lands. Personally, I am neither a city slicker as I don't like big cities, nor a farmgirl as I'm not interested in that life. Even at my age, I still live with my parents. Don't have a choice really. Can't live alone right now. It's a fairly standard two story house with a basement, which is required since I live in Tornado Alley! Right now, I dominate the basement since it's where all of my tech equipment resides and where I keep my consistently growing collection of big box PC games. My room's on the top floor. I don't sleep in the basement. It's nice in the summertime cause it's nice and cool down here. Downright cold most of the time. I live about forty miles from my office so I have nearly an hour drive to and from work every day, and I'm one of the few in the office crazy enough to make that kind of trip every day. And, due to my location, I have to drive to do basically anything. Kind of a bummer but that's why I have a car. Here's an embarrassing shot of the disarray that is my basement: https://i.imgur.com/0nK1Wx0.jpg. I've uh... got a lot of work to do. XD
  21. Usually just "oh my god, what the actual fuck" or "how did they even DO THIS?!" Also been known to just sigh and facepalm, or communicate entirely in stony glares. Chiefly in response to a customer's issue that has me baffled.
  22. Basically not at all. I am very risk averse and prefer not to do anything with a great risk of injury.
  23. When I get a sore throat, I gargle straight hydrogen peroxide. It'll cure what ails ya. Sometimes I just take a big shot of straight vodka. That kills everything on the way down.
  24. I require some amount of intelligence and the ability to hold a real conversation, not just small talk. I suck at small talk for one thing and people with nothing interesting to say bore the shit out of me.
  25. Both because I have astigmatism. To put it plainly, my eyes suuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.
