  1. Cagey

mega thread What are you thinking?

Talking to new people is simultaneously exhausting like running a marathon, and dizziness-causing like skydiving out a plane.
  2. I don’t really mind Spike ships, except for Sparity. I figure he should be with someone roughly his age, whom he doesn’t idolize, and who treats him as an equal.
  3. I would, to expand my understanding and empathy, but I might not want to go back.
  4. I watched the MLP movie today.
  5. Usually facing left, but I try to practice both ways.
  6. I read Past Sins for the first time a while ago!
  7. I have to stop procrastinating.

But my procrastination allowed me to make a Nyx. :squee:

  8. Sleepy and procrastination-y.
  9. Yes. Am I the only one who hasn’t seen the latest Pixar movie?
  10. Yeah. Am I the only one to not like pie?
  11. Anthropomorphic cats. What is the best food to eat for dinner?
  12. She’s most like a healer in G4, so— Actually, I was thinking about the similarity between her element and Meadowbrook and her actions to heal animals and her friends, but she is also much like a druid, if you focus on the animal part compared to the general nature part. So I don’t know. Both or neither, maybe.
  13. I’ve thought about this a lot. I know Rainbow Dash is adorable and fun to watch on TV, but I also know people who are like her. And I know I would not get along with her in real life.
  14. So I finished reading Triptych by Estee! Non-spoiler opinions below:

    Spoiler

Estee has a rich, beautiful writing style. I’ve read many stories in this alternate universe—the Triptych Continuum—so I’m familiar with it. Amazing worldbuilding, dialogue, language—however, it can be easy to get bogged down, especially in the dense early chapters. Because there’s a lot of description. And, especially in the first half of the story, a lot of (at times) unnecessary vagueness. I don’t think the main antagonist’s name should be concealed for so long when it isn’t even a name the reader knows.

Anyway. Triptych is an epic tale of adventure and mystery, following Twilight and her friends as their attempts to help a pony in pain lead them to a conspiracy of dangerous proportions. Something small I enjoyed, aside from the plot and character growth, was that each of the Mane Six and Spike was important in a natural way. They aren’t forced into usefulness, but they aren’t useless, and each character has a unique importance. And I love how they interact with each other.

I don’t read long fanfiction a lot, but this was an enjoyable read. (Even though I want to complain about a detail of the ending.) Anyway, if you have patience for vague internal monologues from unnamed characters, I suggest you check it out. :P

  15. I think of how easy it would be to get lost and drift forever in an expense of emptiness. Space is cool but scary.
  16. … I think today or yesterday… sometime this week. Last time you made a promise?
