    I think that it would have been better if Cranky was, well, cranky because he was having marital problems with Matilda. Cranky ends up revealing that he is having doubts about being a good husband and ends up crying. The students then awkwardly try to comfort him. By the end of the episode, it is shown that he is reconciling with Matilda and that things are going to be okay between them.

    I find that G5 so far is too anvilicious, and it doesn't leave enough breathing room for little moments to stand on their own.

    I imagine Cranky and Matilda being very supportive of beings who deeply enjoy what makes them happy, even after it took such a long time.

    It makes sense, considering how many decades they spent looking forward to the day they would find each other again.

    It would be the same for Pinkie Pie, considering her determination to make Cranky smile paid off, even after many failed attempts.

    The Smooze returns, Maud calls Discord the most basic of jokes, Rarity's new Gala dress, and Tree Hugger's tuneful whinnying. This episode is so much fun (with a dash of bitter chaos.)

    The episode that hits me the most is Friend in Deed. This hit me hard as it showed that Cranky was able to be happy again after Pinkie reunited him with his long-lost love. They lost a lot of time, but it was heaven whenever they were happy together. That is how I want to feel about the MLP fandom after I started watching MLP: FM so late.

    I really dislike how one-sided some lessons are delivered, and some others can feel just wrong for the plot, and this special is one of the worst examples of that in EQG.

    TYT: Dumpster Diving

    I have a fanfic idea.

    We know from TYT: Dumpster Diving that Izzy loves being resourceful and making creations.

    What if Izzy meets a pony who is resourceful like her but doesn't appreciate or care for beauty or nature like she does?

    She would struggle with having to choose between what's in her heart and what potential she could achieve with that particular pony.

     

    That particular pony that Izzy meets could be like an expy of Sassy Saddle from MLP: Friendship Is Magic.

    Rarity = Izzy; Sassy Saddles = Particular Pony.

    The particular pony tends to milk the circumstances, and she would be a distantly related to Spoiled Rich.

    Like Sassy Saddles, she genuinely means well, though she has a tendency to go overboard with "improvement."

     

    I don't know if this name is already taken but the particular pony's name is Cashew Stone. She would also be distantly related to Pinkie Pie.

    Form the cover, his head looks symmetrical like the Shadowy Alicorn, though it seems that he is missing his blue horn-thing.

    It might sound strange but I enjoyed watching Marble be hearthbroken over Big Mac and Sugar Belle's relationship. I guess I just really love angst.

    I love how the episode strengthened Trixie's character and how Starlight and Trixie deal with co-existence in travel.

    I like how the episode showed how trying so hard to be polite and not hurt feelings can cause more harm than good. I loved Philomena's resurrection and Princess Celestia's teacup prank. This is one of my favorite episodes from season 1.

    I like the concept of self-elevating crystals. Could they be used as emergency supplies or be used to power machinery? Could the crystals from Bridlewood absorb and contain certain types of magic? The crystals could be utilized, and Izzy could be saddened to see that the crystals aren't appreciated for their beauty as they used to be. Izzy loves to be resourceful, but she would care about appreciating and taking care of resources.
