This is just a thought I had today whilst trying to articulate why I'm feeling a bit down lately.

 

Let's say that before you are even conceived as an embryo, a voice speaks to you and gives you options on what you want your life to be like.

 

Pick wisely, for you cannot change your decisions once the test is complete.

 

Here are the questions. I list what actually happened, and what I wish had happened.

 

Would you like to be male or female?

 

Reality: Male

 

Hypothetical: Same

 

What would you like your personality to be like?

 

Reality: I have done bad things in the past without thinking, and I regret those. I am currently aiming to rework myself into a better person

 

Hypothetical: Kind, caring, creative, open-minded, hard-working

 

What country (you can be even more specific if you wish) would you like to be born in?

 

Reality: United Kingdom

 

Hypothetical: United States

 

What year would you like to be born in? (you can be even more specific and give a date)

 

Reality: Prefer not to say

 

Hypothetical: 1990

 

What siblings would you like?

 

Reality: A brother two years older, a sister seven years older

 

Hypothetical: Same, but without brother

 

If anyone has anymore questions they think should be listed, they should not hesitate to suggest them to me.

 

You may also select events to scatter throughout your life. For example, I would conveniently happen to stumble across The Hub on October 10th 2010 when the first ever episode of MLP: FIM is showing.

 

However, you cannot simply have indefinite good things handed to you on a silver platter. For every good thing, you must select one bad thing, and vice versa.

 

As it would be hard work to select events to last a lifetime, you can use a randomizer to determine what happens.

Reality: I'm introverted - prone to hot-temper and reliant on pressure in order to operate, but passive. I value knowledge, creativity, imagination and intellectual pursuits above other qualities, and prefer to abolish conflicts through reasoning.

 

Hypothetical: I like me the way i am, but i'd rather if i wasn't as quick to anger. I'd also like it if i wasn't a stress addict as i currently am.

I come from a difficult background. I don't hate my family, and while they were unable to prevent me from becoming the man i am today they tried to make me into something which i was not. Sibling rivalry and competition with my half-siblings (my parent's marriage didn't really work out... multiple times) was really bothersome during my teenage years, after we went our separate ways our relationships improved but i'd still like it better if i went in solo. I don't like the people in my country (most of them, anyway) and i dislike our current government, especially since lately it hurts the population i'm part of the most. Ideally, i'd love to work and live in South Korea.
