I was inspired to make this topic when I pointed out how Gravity Falls is better than both Adventure Time and MLP, in the thread "MLP vs Adventure Time". I thought about it more, and decided to ask all of you! Which show do you think is better? Why? Bonus question!: Do you like it more than ponies? Discuss!!

I prefer adventure time to gravity falls.

I'm always a fan of the post apocalyptic stuff.

I like ponies more than both of them.

Gravity Falls is an awesome show, the animation is impressive, the voice acting is great, the humor is nice, the characters are well done and complex, and the episodes just keep getting better, i can't think of a single "bad" or "mediocre" episode, plus, it's full of Illuminati stuff. Some of the "flaws" that the show had in season 1 are fixed in season 2, in a way that makes you wonder if the writers had it planned all along.

 

About Adventure Time, i've just watched a few random episodes on TV so i can't give an opinion.

 

As a show Gravity Falls is better than MLP, but i don't know which of them i prefer.

Personality I prefer a more comprehensive storyline so I'm siding with Gravity Falls.  Adventure Time is great for a laugh but doesn't take itself seriously enough for my liking.

Although I love the Post-Apocalyptic world of Adventure Time, I prefer the mystery surrounding Gravity Falls

Well, both shows have a cast of diverse and memorable characters, and they both have zany overtones with a twinge of darkness in them. I'd say Gravity Falls if you're talking about continuity, but adventure time is pretty good too.

Adventure Time. Like, on first glance it looks like a stoner's daydream but the amount of depth in each episode is so good. Some stuff won't even begin to make sense after a season, which i like. It's not a linear progression of time, rather, it just throws stuff at you until you begin to understand what the hell is happening.

It's the same with Gravity Falls, only on a bigger, more complex scale. Every episode, no matter how minor the situation in it, is apart of a big mystery that you can help the crew in Gravity Falls solve. And the answers will always blow your mind! Gravity Falls mysteries are like an onion. It's a story layered in mystery upon mystery. If one were to begin peeling away each mystery, they will get closer and closer to the big answer that's being searched for every season. The show is awesome!!

I prefer Gravity Falls, because of the intelligent storyline, mindblowing easter eggs, variety of character personality and Waddles. (Waddles seals the deal for me). But I still don't like it as much as MLP, but it's close.

I prefer Gravity Falls. I feel it has overall better writing and better animation. Adventure Time can have some great writing, but the great writing is more subtle and you just have to find it through the stupid humor. Gravity Falls just feels like an overall more intelligent show.

It's much more thought out, it's hilarious, it's well-written, it's more surprising, it's dense, it's rich with character, and it's just all around much better than Adventure Time's (mostly) weirdness and randomness (not that they're bad things).

Gravity Falls had an awesome first season, but I'm disappointed by the current one.

Adventure Time has "more" good episodes, but none of them reach Gravity Falls' quality.

Adventure Time is kind of overrated, I never got into it. Gravity Falls is much better.

Gravity Falls I think makes far more sense than Adventure Time. Adventure Time just... What...? I see why it's popular, it's got good animation but it's so weird! Almost as weird as me! But that's not a bad thing, I mean it makes it different. Although plenty of seemingly, and suspiciously similar shows have ensued now... How strange... But I just don't tend to watch it. It's entertaining, but when I'm looking for something with a story that actually makes sense, I'll always go with an all-time favourite of mine, Gravity a Falls. I know both shows incorporate mystery into them, but trying to figure out what all the hidden messages in Gravity Falls means, with an actual hope that that possibly will happen is always fun. So yeah... I prefer Gravity Falls, both story wise, character wise, and looks wise. Not saying Aventure Time is bad, of course...

The mysteries are revealed in a much more satisfying and planned manner than those of Adventure Time's and I find it to be funnier than AT.

I perfer Adventure Time to Gravity falls, but I have not seen all the episodes of any of them as there is no legal way to find all the episodes here.

I find the characters in AT to be more lovable, even the Ice king/Simon has his own charm
