Behold - the concrete jungle of grayness! This here is Kouvola, Finland. I'm sure there are good things about this place, but I really can't think of many. It's quite boring and lacks many things that would make a city cool, but it doesn't make it a bad place to live. It's actually really peaceful which is a good thing. It also means that there is never too much crowd.

Well, at least it looks kind of pretty at night. Kind of.

And we also have this neat mall. Even better is that I live quite nearby!

This is Anaheim, CA. It may not be dramatic as some of the beautiful places posted here, but we have our castles too. That green patch in the middle is Disneyland, with a castle at its center. :please:

First of all, this is probably my favorite thread on the forums by far.. I love to see all the towns and specific places where people live, it's absolutely adorable, beautiful and fascinating to imagine and see! I just dream myself away to these photos.. So nice.

Anyway, here's my home:

This is Kungshamn and Smögen, Sweden... It's my childhood and my home, it's where I live. We're known for great seafood, smooth cliffs, clear seas and plenty of fishermen. However, just a little further away, there are huge mountains and forest areas. All-in-one, so to speak.

I've been traveling the world and I absolutely adore nature. However, the more I've been away, the more I appreciate my home and how beautiful I've actually lived my whole life. Cherish it!

Lompoc, California. Far enough from Los Angeles, pretty much just fruits, wine, the beaches, and more wine.

Locust Grove, Georgia - a quite little city, far enough away from Atlanta to remain independent, but close enough to easily drive to if the need arises.

We don't have much in the way of attractions... but we DO have Noah's Ark, a zoo that operates solely on donations, and rescues wild and exotic animals.  My kids LOVE it.

Brooklyn, New York, with Manhattan and New Jersey in the background. Tried to find a picture of the downtown area, and I did.

New-York-Aerials-011.jpg

A rather old picture because you are unable to see the New World Trade Center in lower Manhattan.

Camp Pouch. Hard to believe, but this is still part of New York City.

There's a possibility that I may have camped there, but I really can't remember because it was years ago.

I live in Tauranga, New Zealand myself. I love this city to bits, it's hardly even a city - 120,000 people, yet only feels like a big town due to the huge lack of high-rises. I'm probably moving next year to the capital, Wellington, which is awesome too, but I don't think anything in the country can beat Tauranga.

One-minute walk from my house, taking this myself should explain the crappiness. This is looking North-West towards the Kaimai mountains that surround the city, harbour and outlying towns on three sides.

kVvH36w.jpg

The mountain here, named Mount Maunganui by British settlers and Mauao by the indigenous Maori people, is the city's symbol. Maori legend says that it was once a nameless mountain hopelessly in love with another mountain, but she was already married to another nearby mountain that he was a slave of. In despair, the nameless mountain asked the people of the forest to drag him into the sea to drown him - but as the sun rose, the people of the forest retreated back to the shade of the trees inland, and the mountain was left alone on the shore. In time, the nameless mountain earned the title Mauao and gathered more mana, meaning spiritual power and importance, than both the mountain he had loved and the mountain that had owned him, to become the greatest mountain in the region.

Oh right, I forgot you lived just South of me!

I live on the cusp of suburban Illinois and rural Illinois (though Venomous may argue that's her town). Regardless, here's some pics from my end:

I live in a tiny town in Pennsylvania called Avella. It used to have a higher population back in the day because it was based on coal mining, which is pretty much dead today. Nowadays, there's less than 1,000 people living in the area, and it contains a bunch of farms.

We're also known for the Meadowcroft Rockshelter and Museum, which I believe is the oldest archaeological site in North America and second-oldest in North and South America. This is the Rockshelter:
