I didn't interpret this as a bash against G3 by Andrea, piñata + Pinkie Pie sounds like a perfect party item after all.    As @ has already mentioned, Andrea is retweeting another's post (which doesn't appear too ill-natured anyway, plus Andrea does not reply to the negative comments on the original tweet). For what it's worth, I believe Andrea voiced Sweetie Belle in G3. For this reason, I can't imagine her openly bashing a previous job, especially one so connected to one of her current projects.

Pinatas are meant to be bashed... This has nothing to do with hating G3, just getting a Pinkie Pie one because of liking MLP.

I actually don't consider them separate gens. I haven't seen very much of G3.5, but I didn't like the four minute short I saw, and I saw all of G3 and Core 7. I probably would have seen Twinkle Wish Adventure, but it's pretty difficult to do, and it just doesn't seem worth the effort. Besides, I observed a decline from G3 to Core 7 and G3.5 seems even worse from what little I've seen.

 

Anyways, this tweet doesn't actually prove anything. Besides, perhaps if G3 didn't happen maybe we wouldn't have had quite the same character as FiM Pinkie Pie. Granted, the difference between the two Pinkies is like night and day. Piñatas are meant to be smashed though, so I wouldn't take this as any kind of commentary on what Andrea Libman feels about G3.

I tend to like the toys if anything though the show I have to agree was fairly flawed though considering I was quite the fan a while back I can't complain over it!

 

though as for Andrea I would assume not, as she could just be referring to it as general fun

 

besides as Tross said Tweets prove little so I see no need to judge from a tweet...

 

and did she not voice a character in the past from the generation as far as I heard?

I don't think Andrea was hating on anything. She's worked in children's programming for years. I don't think she would still be working in it if she hated it. I know I've heard her in that dumb "strawberry something," bad cgi show I've seen parts of on on the hub before or after MLP. That's worse in writing than the gen 3 (and it's a current show I think). I don't ever here her say anything bad about that.

 

A pinata is likely to be smashed anyways, that one just happens to look like a pony.

 

 

 

 

But... that thing kinda needs to be put out of it's misery anyway.

To the end the confusion, a run-down of the gens

 

G1: Pretty standard 80s cartoon. From what I've seen it's actually pretty good and 2nd in line behind G4 for best generation. 

 

G2: Had no cartoon and was a phase only the toy-line went through

 

G3: Standard direct-to-DVD little kid's fair. Not great, but nothing horrible about either.

 

G3.5: HOLY HELL, HOW DID THIS EVER GET RELEASED. I'VE SEEN NEWGROUNDS CARTOONS WITH BETTER ANIMATION. CLASSIC SCOOBY-DOO HAS MORE ACTUAL ANIMATION THAN THIS

 

G4: Really good, came back around to the shoW's roots while still having it's own identity rather than being a carbon copy of G1.
