How and when did you become a brony?

In November of last year, I started seeing lots of ponies on the internet (places like TV Tropes, 4chan, and reddit). I got curious, watched Starscream vs. Rainbow Dash and some PMVs, found the Hub, noticed the crappy airing times, looked On Demand, found some episodes...*takes breath* watched The Cutie Mark Chronicles, then watched all the episodes in order. Somewhere in there, I joined the herd.

Around December of 2010 or a month later. A friend was browsing forums while we were waiting for a multiplayer match to be set up on Xbox Live. Of course I ridiculed him and proceeded to kill him in-game.

 

Watched "The Return of Harmony" parts one and two the next day with my sister out of sheer curiosity and loved it!

In mid-October, my brother told me about how he liked the show. At first I thought " if he wants to watch my little pony, fine. its his life not mine" so i didn't think much of the show, but i didn't think he was weird or anything for liking. But then he explained how it was different from the old my little pony and convinced me to watch it. When he he showed me first episode, I was absolutely astounded at how a show for little kids could having have such interestingly dynamic characters, dialogue that doesn't insult the intelligence of it's audience, and be genuinely humourous. My obsession with the show quickly ensued.

Not to long ago, this Thursday really. I finally realized that there was nothing wrong with liking MLP, as I am breaking no moral rule and there is nothing in the show suggesting anything inappropiate for a male to do. I'm actually proud to be a brony!

Well, I guess in a way. one of the last things i did while playing WoW though was to sign up for the annual pass.

On the bright side that means I already own diablo so i can get to the "secret pony level" as soon as Diablo is released.

January 2011. I found it after discovering that the producer was the same person who did Powerpuff Girls and KND which were two of mai favourite programs back in the day. (When I was 7). And then I watched le show and fell in love.

One day, the Robot Chicken "Apocalypse Pony" was in my head. So I look it up, and find this on related videos.

Lol. I was kinda surprised MLP had that.

 

Then I found the clip of Fluttershy Murdering the Bear (with Mortal Kombat narration), which really blew at my preconceived notions of the show.

 

In an unrelated incident, later, I was at an overnight Halo: Reach system link party at a friends' house, and he was showing me Gary's Mod on his computer. There's a list of custom content you can get, and I noticed an "atomic rainboom". I lol'd asked him to load it, but I guess he didn't hear or notice over the other people talking, and I didn't press it because I thought it was kinda awkward. But it was on my mind.

 

So, the next day, I look up "Atomic Rainboom", and find this:

Eventually I came to a video that had Twilight Sparkle discovering all her letters to Celestia in S2E2, and I thought it was incredibly epic how it summed up the entire first season to an epic turning point that keeps everything together. I got curious, I can't remember if it was before or after I saw the first episode, but I read about Lauren Faust and how she changed the show from what it used to be, and, It may have been by accident, I don't remember, but I watched the first episode, and by episode 3 I was hooked.

 

This was at the end of Christmas Break. I didn't want to join any communities until I finished the show, for spoilers' sake.
