How and when did you become a brony?

While playing Team Fortress 2 I noticed something strange, there were sprays of ponies everwhere. Quite a strange thing at first; so I investigated, My Little Pony on the internet, I was baffled. At first I mocked the idea, but slowly I became curious to why people on the internet would subject themselves to candy coloured ponies. Then one fateful day I saw a picture of Rainbow Dash sonic rainbooming out of Guile's fist, I was sold.

 

So I finally got around to watching the show and was simply in awe of the show and continued to watch and enjoy the show to this day. I'm pretending that it was a long time ago, well it feels like it was a long time ago, but it was only since this summer.

Back on RSBuddy, another forum. There were some bronies and one of them made a site pony forum (which has 1.1k members now), I was like "lolok" and decided to watch some episodes. Didn't think it was too bad and watched all of season 1 and then season 2 got announced. Now I chill and watch ponies.

i don't remember exactly what month it was but someone i know linked me a cupcakes parody where pinkie stole 5 bags of sugar from AJ. The next day i saw it was on and was like "eh why not". It was the ep fall weather friends. I was hooked as soon as pinkie said "yes, and grudge rhymes with fudge, and i like fudge, but if i eat too fudge i get a pudge and i cant budge."

February. These Pokémon forums I used to go to had everyone changing their names to pony stuff with avatars and I was utterly confused. At first, I tried to spurn the ponies after attempting to watch them. I found myself attracted to them by some strange magnetic force and could not stop. My obsession for ponies heightened when I discovered that I was actually pretty decent at drawing them. And they helped me improve my art.

Found out about it on February! On the Facepunch forums, where they invaded the boards, without our thread getting to the max post count in under a week. Which led to the Forum owner to ban ponies. ( You get a 3 day ban for posting ponies now!... )

First time I discerned MLP:FIM material, it was in large quantities on Furaffinity (No, not porn, all clean.) I merely thought that it was another case of furries rejoicing over the fact that a show with animals in it was released. I maintained this thought until September/October when a classmate apprised us of the legitimate details. I didn't bother in September, but in October, I was viewing clips of the show prior to ultimately viewing the episodes themselves.

Last week of term at uni, everyone in the hall but me had gone home for Christmas. I had already watched all of the DVDs I brought from home and had become fed up of most TV series I liked. With all the pony sigs, avatars and whatnot, I was already curious about what the fuss about colourfull cartoon ponies was about. So I figured, what the hell, might as well check the show out before I pass Judgement, even though I was dubious that I would like it.

10 episodes later: "This is soo awesome"

Around the start of October. The week before I'd watched CR's "My Little Pony Retrospective", (If you haven't see it, do so now.) and what I saw intrigued me. Sure, I had seen imagecaps of the series for months up until this point, but they were always out of context images that I couldn't really base any opinion on. So with nothing better to do that day, I watched the first episode.

 

Then the next. And the next.

 

The rest is history by this point.

I can't remember butt here's my conversion story:

So I watch the new death battle. STARSCREAM VS RAINBOW DASH. I'm all like "uhm.... Ooooooooookay" then I watch it, RAINBOW DASH WINS. I'm like "that, was bada**" then I secretly watch "griffin the brush off" while my little brother was watching it. Then I properly watch the pilot episodes of season 1. HOLY. CRAP. I was converted about 16 minutes in... But when they destroy nightmare moon and twilight gives her speech thing... I got the chills like crazy. I watched about... Say, 5 more episodes, then I went to sleep... Or whatever I did. Then came denial. I thought to myself "why am I watching this? This is a show for little girls" but by season 2... All my doubts were gone. This was the most amazing show I have ever watched. Then... I took a step into the community... Starting at the worst place: the slendermane fanfic. This made me recoil a bit from the community. (even though I liked the fanfic) Then something worst happened: cupcakes. I got insomnia... I didn't even read it. I read the comments... And realized what happened in it. THAT MADE ME RECOIL A LOT. I think it was another week before I went back to equestria daily. Then one day, on the magical date of december 7th (I think) I found these forums. I went on the chat as soon as I posted on the forums a bit, and noticed how amazing and awesome this community really was. And then... Well... Now were here.
