I picked Applejack because she feels the most real, in my opinion. She acts as a strong base for ponies to lean on, but she still makes mistakes. Applejack's not perfect, but she tries her best

I love Twilight because she's nerdy, intelligent, and adorkable(before and after MMC). I can relate to her in that I used to be (still kind of am) socially awkward and kept to myself. I'm also a fairly big nerd. I'm not as much of a reader, though.

My two favorites are Fluttershy and Twilight.

 

Fluttershy because of the clear relation I have with her personality. I am pretty shy and socially awkward and afraid of everything. Plus, she is cute.    She was also the first pony that I discovered. 

 

Twilight because I adore her personality as well, even if I only relate to the social awkwardness that she kinda has. Her other traits are quite admirable though and she is also adorable. Plus, she is a wonderful princess.   The cuteness in Castle Sweet Castle, it was...magical.

Primarily because she is always the grown-up in the group. She was the first one to give up her gala ticket (although it technically wasn't hers yet) so a friend could have it, and she apologized first when her, rarity, and Twilight had a sleep over.

My second reason would be because she goes against the girly-girl in a little girls show stereotype.

For Twilight, it's because I can relate to her in some ways and we have some similarities. For Pinkie, it's because of her randomness, her moments when she's hyper and her silly antics that always gets me to smile, even when I feel sad.

When I first started watching, Fluttershy was my number one favorite because she was the cutest! Then I REALLY thought about it: is this really the only reason why I like her? Because of her looks?

 

After a while, I came to the conclusion that I do care about Fluttershy's personality and values more than her cuteness, but also that I identify even more closely with Applejack's and Rarity's. Honesty, generosity, and kindness are very important values to me and I try to practice them as much as I can in my life.

 

I also discovered that Rainbow Dash is worst mane 6, because she is a selfish jerk in many of her appearances and her cool design isn't enough to make up for it.
