You could see someones teeth break or fall out (Courage the Cowardly Dog for example) and then the next episode or later on the same episode they have their teeth back.

Well, with how evolution probably words in the world (not saying it does, though a world of magic + evolution is intriguing) the natural system has to make up for the lack of hands. So strong teeth and flexible lips (for writing, etc) are a must for pony survival; I assume.

It isn't for the lack of hands. Ponies are also capable of using their hooves to hold things. They just have strong teeth because they take care of them with Extra Strength Equine Toothpaste.

They can pick up things with their hooves somehow but I guess it's evolution in play here that their teeth are that strong. I think Earth Ponies would have the strongest teeth because if I'm not mistaken that is what their magic is....to be tough and good at land related activities.
