Alright, I did it, I freaking did it, it's 2:47 AM, I'm i my backyard, hiding under my trampoline really hoping my parents aren't up ad their widow isn't open. I think I heard something atleast the size of a raccon moving in the distance, and every regular noise sounds like breathing right behind me, but I am DETERMINED to participate.

Since we are several pages from where I mentioned this I'll reclarify. This is an audio project so it will not have OC's in it, however there is an upcoming project in which I will need everyone's favority/ primary OC/Ponyosa so I will DEFINATELY need them.

Hello Every Pony! Cherry Bloom here! So... I see a LOT of you posting about not being able to sing and not doing this project because of that. Well, trust me every pony you'll regret not taking part. This is something truly special! A chance to be a part of something big in our wonderful community! I can't sing very well at all my little ponies, but I love this song, and I love it's meaning! It doesn't matter if you can sing like Pinkie, or if you're like myself and can barely carry a tune. You should join in and become part of a wonderful project. We are bronies after all, do we not teach love tolerance and friendship above all else? No one is here to judge you, me or any pony else! And so... I've decided to attach my song clip for every pony to hear. Not because I feel like bragging or showing off (because trust me I really can't sing), but because I want you to realize it doesn't matter, you shouldn't be embarrassed! Just have fun with it! Whoo! Almost a month in the making, and my submission is finished!

You might be wondering why my submission is by OneDrive link. Or why it's so dang huge. Couple reasons for that, really. One, my submission far exceeds the 50 MB limit imposed for MLPF uploads; two, every file in the submission is a 32-bit uncompressed WAV, and they are huge files; three, I gave you five of 'em!

 

Here's a breakdown:

• "M1" contains the melody as Pinkie sings it in the source material, excluding the "speaking" bits.
• "H2" contains the main harmony as is also heard in the source material.
• "H3" and "H4" contain extra harmonies I wrote for the refrains and the chorus at the end.
• "composite" contains all the voice parts mastered in one file. You can listen to this one to assess how the harmonies mesh and whether you want to use all, some, or none of them.

So! A few things I learned while making this thing:

• I cannot, for the life of me, pronounce "smile." ('Cause I like to make you small, small, small!)
• Living in the city is not conducive to reliable recordings. Passing trucks + noisy neighbors + police sirens every five minutes = multiple takes of every part.  :okiedokielokie:
• "p" sounds straight into a microphone sound like little explosions and ruin recordings. But in a pinch, pop filters can be constructed out of bangles, pantyhose, and superglue!
