What about clear hard candy? Like, it looks like class. Maybe a class-looking lolipop, but it taste like candy and is NOT glass. Is this a good idea? I bet it doesnt exist.

I am so smart!

Interesting. I looked it up and there's such a thing as sugar glass. It can be formed into all sorts of things and can be made clear or colorful. Apparently it was also used for stunt scenes involving glass in movies!

... Well then. Way to kill the fun. :c

I don't think sugar glass has been marketed as candy before, it's just been used for stunts as far as I know.

So your idea is somewhat unique. :)

Dewit. Making it clear would be good if you could find the right flavor things as ingredients.

I remember the suckers that had some type of bug in them from museums, I wanna try oneee.

Normally I would never say something like this, but now that you mentioned it...

That picture is actually making me really hungry now. I would totally eat a sugar kitty!

Oh yea... I am not interested in eating candy bugs... Even though that is why we like crunchy foods.

That part made me laugh out loud  ^_^

I would totally eat that candy as long as it was NOT cats.

This is a good idea.  I'm sure all hard candy is just food colored anyway.  Everything is.  Did you know all cheese is white?  The rest is food coloring.  I think clear hard candy could be a hit.  Too bad you went and told everyone about your idea so they can steal it...  Maybe that'll learn ya.  (I'm just poking fun; I doubt anyone here will steal your idea.)

I don't think it is a good idea. Clear candy would look like ice, which is already (in my opinion) a failed candy product.

However, if you got a chance to use some really toxic glowing color in your candy, it would be an instant hit! But those candy are banned for a reason.

Rock candy is very similar to that....and it’s delicious! :ButtercupLaugh:

Agreed! You really can't go wrong with pure sugar crystallized on a stick, whether it's artificially colored or not. It's all good! :pinkie:

I just looked this up and it’s a thing. I came across some with bugs in them as well.

Vodka and bugs

Quite a pair

We used to have a candy called "fruit thins" here, that were basically clear fruit candy in sheets an inch square but only a couple of millimeters thick.

you could stick them to your tongue like a postage stamp :D
