  1. 1. Do you go for 100%?

    • Yes, no matter what the challenge!

    • If it isn't too difficult, yes.

    • Depends.

    • No, that's not important to me.

I mainly just beat the main story mode and try to unlock any extra endings. If there isn't too much more after that, then I'll go for it. If it's a bunch of ridiculous item finding, then I move on to the next game.

I've only ever 100%ed a few games. I think they were Zelda: Twilight Princess (The gamecube version, mind), Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Batman Arkham City, and Fantasy World Dizzy. Props to anyone who knows what that last game even is.

ONLY if the game itself is good...

If the storyline was the only thing that was keeping me glued to the screen, forget it.

No.

I feel going for "100%" is the easiest way to spark an addiction. It removes the fun aspect of the game, and replaces it with the stressful and excessive desire to get everything to it's fullest.

Generally in the video games I play, full completion would imply dedicating countless and repetitive hours of additional gameplay to meet a goal put absurdly high by the developers. It would require me to play in a manner I don't receive enjoyment from, only to achieve a silly number that becomes irrelevant once a sequel is released.

Occasionally. Most games no, but if I really enjoyed the game, I will not stop until I am DONE.

I very rarely do that though. The only games I've ever done that for are Every Final Fantasy game, all the Kingdom Hearts games and all the Fable games.

I get pretty attached to series sometimes.

Games I've beaten to 100%:

Ratchet: Deadlocked

Ace Combat 5

Ace Combat Zero

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door

Burnout: Revenge

Definitely not all the games I buy I play to 100%, but if the fun is there then I'll definitely milk the content for what it's worth.

Depends on how into a game I am, really.

I managed to 100% Super Meat Boy most recently. Plenty of games when I was younger, but there are things I won't even bother to try, like no hit runs of Megaman.

I usually try for 100%, but if it's something simply impossible for me to do (like grind for two+ hours for 1 item) given both my level of skill and attention span I'll call it quits. That or if I simply can't stand the game I'm not likely to return to it for any bonus material when beating the game was more of a chore to begin with!

I never, never go for 100%. I just lose myself in the game. If I get to 100% before I get tired, then that is wonderful. If I do not get to 100% before I get tired of the game, then I don't really think about it.

Most, with all games, I just aim to finish the game as quickly as possible while enjoying myself as much as possible. This doesn't tend to produce 100% very often, but it is a very efficient method for conserving time.

I very seldom aim for 100% completion, I just try to enjoying myself, playing well and completing the campaign.

A lot of "100%" seems to be tedious tasks with very little real reward. Unless I'm desperately in love with the game and want to draw it out as long as possible (Legend of Mana, Chrono Cross, etc), nah - better things to do.

I am only willing to do it if it is fun and a nice, fair challenge. I have 1000/1000 on portal 2 for Xbox 360. I have nearly 1000/1000 for Halo ODST. Only the Vidmaster away)

Grinding challenges generally turn me down in terms of trying to get them. Because they require time, not skill.

This really depends for me.

And it depends on if the game is from any particular series I love. If it is, I'll 100% it. If not, then I'll just enjoy it's story/gameplay.

Typically not. It's usually insanely hard and takes too much effort. I'm looking at you, Final Fantasy X. >_>

But in certain games that I truly love, and it isn't terribly difficult, like Final Fantasy IX, I'll do 100%. But that is very very rare. Nowadays, it's just insanely difficult and takes a truly determined (or insane. I think more insane) soul to reach 100% in most games.

If I feel like I reasonably can do it, I'll give it a shot. As far as Platinums on PSN go, I have three: Modern Warfare 2 and both inFamous games. Feels good, man.

But, like Ary said, most games are nigh impossible to 100%. GTAIV, for example, required finding all the stunt ramps, pidgeons, etc. Both LittleBigPlanets placed a solid chunk of reliance on the community loving your levels. Most of my levels got about five different people to play them, compared to the one hundred unique players required for one of the trophies. Some games, like Super Mario Sunshine and LoZ: Ocarina of Time, are just plain difficult and have tons of stuff you need to collect, and don't even get me started on the Master Quest. Pokemon games need a complete Pokedex to be considered 100%, including more obscure event Pokemon like Celebi and Manaphy. The only regional Pokedexes I've completed, which don't include events, are the Kanto and Hoenn ones in FireRed and Emerald. Now the national one has 649, three of which are quite literally impossible to legally acquire.

I'm a completionist by nature, but I've learned to curb my "need" to 100% to only those games in which I feel it's possible for me.

If I feel immersed in the game, then of course I want to see everything the game has to offer. If not, then I don't see the point.
