I know it has something to do with the finale.

And possibly with the characters introduced in the season 5 premiere.

But I don't know if it will become a regular location or just a one time thing in the show or after season 5.

A lot of this depends on the season 5 finale for me. I am just too unsure right now because of that finale. I am not liking what I am hearing about it, but if it all ends on a good note, then I am positive for the future.

I don't know what will be the theme for Season 6. I'm hoping it's more about exploring and the mane six exploring their destines and dreams more, maybe more family. Just really my hopes for what we see, really. Have to wait until the finale really.

To be honest, Idon't think cosmos is going to be wanting to "take over" equestria so much as being a well intentioned extremist who'll want to get rid of non-alicorns to protect the tree of harmony

 

 

 

There's also that "guardians of harmony" toyline that's been trademarked by hasbro, so who knows what that'll be? Could be a movie toyline, could be tied to EQG 4, could be tied to season 6.

 

And then there's those listed characters and toys on Amazon, somepony named colortura and some "princess" toyline toys. I'm figuring we're going to get a whole lot of alicorns popping up out of the woodwork in season 6 IMO.

I've said this before & I'll say it again.  For financial reasons, it is easier to syndicate the show in packs of 65 episodes.  So, if season 6 is 13 episodes (130 total) it is 99+% certain season 6 will be the last season.  If it is 26 episodes, then it is likely (barring a total collapse in the ratings) there will be a season 7 & season 8 (195 total)

 

The most recent episodes (post hiatus) + the Luna episode just before (ICR the title just now) have all been very good to excellent so I'm hoping for more.  Shows seem to hit a point where you say "Just pull the plug, already!" IMO, this show hasn't quite got there yet.

The Elements of Destruction/Disaster/Disharmony/Chaos Could be introduced.

 

A mane six (Male Ponies) who have the elements opposites or whatever of the mane cast.

Perhaps me the elements something like- Cruelty for Fluttershy's Kindness, Despair for Pinkie Pie's Laughter, Treason for Rainbow Dash's Loyalty, Lies for Applejacks Honesty, Greed for Rarity's Generosity, and finally Anti-Magic to counter Twilight Sparkles Magic.

 

 

 

Then we have any stories involving wars. Like maybe X area has been underseiged for over a 1000 years and everything Celestia has been doing has been preparing Equestria for war in case the defense lines of X species that has been fighting this great evil fails, which it is, but because of her cowardace and selfishness she never helped them fight the evil. Equestria could have legions of friends over there that have been alone for 1000 years or so and no pony knows about it until the mane six travel there to discover what is going on( against celestias commands )  Then they discover the only way they could be strong enough to defeat them is to find the missing elements of harmony, Will, Courage, Resolve, Hope, and Sacrifice. Then at the very end we get something akin to a DBZ Spirit friendship bomb where twilight discovers how to use these elements the the ties that bind all of them mane six together and every friend they had ever made anywhere all contribute to beating the bad guy. I imagine the ties looking like glowing white ribbons and appearing in front of every pony that has ever been shown in the series thus far including X speices they just made friends with. Touching it they know everything that has happened and when they send their friendship powers to twilight and gang, a big 'ol friendship spirit bomb appears and then they blast the bad guy and then celebrations around the world as the final giant threat to the world is dealt with, Twilight Surpasses Celestia and becomes the new goddess of Equestria as her replacement.

 

 

Then we could get another Trixie episode which I am hoping for! Maybe combine it with a CMC episode of them trying to help her, or another Magic Duel! Maybe something more extreme!

 

 

Another big Tirek like fight with maybe Sombra this time. Maybe he could take out Twilights friends one by one sorta original sailor moon style and then its just the last hope for the world twilight vs the big bad guy....oh and then reveal the mane six never died but were just unconcious or frozen in ice or something.

 

 

Crysalis gets married lol - Think about it, she needs to feed her people and what better way to do it then feed off somepony...somechangling or whatever that actually loves her and can supply an endless amount of food when she ends up loving him back. Maybe somehow her expressing actual love could create an infinite supply of it to feed everychangling. That would be cool!

 

...maybe my OC can become cannon? Princess of the snow and ice anypony? ....I know I keep saying I will write it one day but I will write it lol.

This show really seriously needs more adventure episodes and less slice-of-life episodes. Don't get me wrong, the occasional one is fine, but it is starting to get boring after a while. It doesn't even have to be complicated - just have them go fight a dragon or something.

Lol, Chrysalis getting married should have been the main plot in Slice of Life... It would be interesting though to see some war involving Equestria and additional Elements. As well as a Sombra battle. Though im not sure how a war can be put in a TV-Y show...

My theory is that the seasons six will lead up to the movie and deal with what happened to the alicorns and what their purpose is in the world, with alicorn princesses "awakening" or showing up somehow, leading up to a cliffhanger finale that segues directly into the movie wrapping up the lore behind alicorns and the tree of harmony.

Agreed so much. I very much like the more magical girl nature of this show, and have greatly enjoyed the recent adventure episodes in Do princesses dream of magical sheep and Power ponies.

 

The big issue here is that Twilight, at this point, drastically Overshadows the others for adventure episodes in a manner not unlike Goku compared to krillin and picollo. The last two adventure episodes have *both* had plot points to power up the others to Twilight's level: Power ponies gave the mane six super powers (if anything, twilight was NERFED by her superhero form), and DPDOMS gave them dream powers to even the field.

 

 

If they were to do other adventure episodes it might be difficult to keep the other six relevent without resorting to "This looks like a job for Aquaman!" type moments.

I very much have always wanted a legion of doom nega-six thing.

Unfortunately, I don't see them doing this plot because its been done TWICE. In the comics currently they're doing a plotline where they had a group of foils to the mane six formed together for a diversion (Sadly this plot seems to be 100% wasted as its painfully clear they're of little consequence and will be discarded in plot importance quickly).

The second instance of them using a nega-mane six (and wasting it) plot would be from the Friendship games movie, where the shadowbolts were setup to be foils to the mane six (Sugar coat to AJ for example). Unfortunately, that plot was wasted as well since they might as well not have been in the movie since they never followed up on that concept.

 

basically, the show writers try to avoid doing the same plot twice, and the comic writers have to run their plots and comics by the show staff first to make sure the comics aren't too similar to anything in the show (they had to alter the first comic's intro for example since it was somewhat similar to Sleepless in ponyville I think).

And since they okayed a "group of foils to the mane six legion of doom" plot, that makes me think they have NO plans to do that in the show.

To be honest, I still feel the map hasn't really proven itself to have much of a point in the world. Its episodes have been good, no mistake there, and the mane six have helped ponies. It just is that most of the situations, apart from starlight glimmer, have been things that the writers could easily have had the mane six do without needing the map to push them.

 

Coco could have written a letter to rarity asking for help for example, and AJ could have been dragged along for the ride to make that episode work without it being a map episode.

I think both episodes wouldn't have worked without the map. Part of the episodes was figuring out what exactly was the issue, and why these particular ponies had the right qualities. Twilight definitely would have been there to fix it all easily if the map hadn't been there, and the griffons would never have asked for help, because they didn't themselves think they had a problem.

Eh, Permanently losing them? I doubt that. But temporarily for the *episode*? Yeah, I think the CMC will lack their cutie marks in the new timeline. But I figure that at the end of the episode the timeline will be 100% fixed with the CMC having their cutie marks again.

It would feel like a MASSIVE cop out and backpedal to give the CMC their cutie marks then immediately turn around and taking them back.  Plus, I can't see twilight shrugging and ignoring the CMC being hurt by the timeline issue and only trying to fix the Mane six's part of the timeline XD

 

 

(On that note, I kind of wonder if the CMC will get their G3 cutie marks in the altered timeline, as they released some toys with the CMC with their old cutie marks.
