Has anyone forgiven Diamond Tiara outright?

I am confused as to why many bronys would forgive discord, who wanted to rule the world and have everypony under his grip, and not forgive a filly who said some stupid things. (I don;t know if you forgave discord. The only real reason I forgave him is because he's an interesting character, and I never hate him.)

Discord was not that kind of villain. He just did things he thought were fun at all the ponies' expense. He even wanted to convince Twilight that chaos wasn't so bad, and that even she could get used to his reimagining of the world. Pinkie was growing accustomed to it herself, so what does that say? To me, it's as if Discord was using his chaos magic to gain friends by sharing his ideas of a good time with everyone else, but in such a twisted way that he became an obstacle for Celestia and the element bearers.

 

DT, with or without that lousy excuse of a mother, was a genuine asshole.

She's a kid guys. Why be so mean to her. Yes she was an asshole, but the show showed that she changed. And I hardly doubt at all that she will ever be mean again. If you can't forgive someone for past mistakes, then we would literally all be unforgiven.

I'm a firm believer that forgiveness should come when an honest mistake is made. But if you make deliberate transgressions like DT has, there should be no forgiveness without punishment. She hasn't been punished enough, and no, losing the poll for class president doesn't count.... although I did like Silver Spoon telling her off.

At first I was ackbaring (IT'S A TRAP!) the whole idea, constantly saying it was an act and that she'd be back to the dt we know and loathe. After a while I had it dawn on me just how genuine and sincere this transformation is. It's quite scary (and I still think and extinction event is going to happen to Equestria) given how little the likeliness of 'Tiara becoming a decent pony was. She used to be that little brat who needed a good tanned bottom. Now she's somepony I could see my oc hanging out with, with little anxiety sourced from her. On a side not eI had a hard time watching the episode. Spoiled Rich's whole personality got my temper up quite quick. I nearly died laughing (and of shock) when Dia let her have it.

I don't see how she's still a brat even though she's decided to change herself and move on from the past, yeah she messed up, but she's trying to atone for it. I don't hate her, but I do hope she continues to improve and better herself.

Punishment for doing something in the past that no one can really prove happened? It feels like it has been months since flight to the finish if not more. Also, why would she need to be punished if we know she has learned her lesson.

 

One thing I would have liked to seen though is Diamond Tiara saying sorry. But still, I don't see any reason not to forgive her. But this is probably because I am a VERY forgiving person.

Well I never really disliked her in the first place, but yets, I do forgive her and now she seems even nicer than Silver Spoon somehow. XD Strange that I like her considering I care about the CMC so much...

I never really hated her, but I never really liked her. I just viewed her as the common story's bully. Not as much under the type 'character', really. Now, she's slightly more three-dimensional, but not actually so much more. So, technically, the way I look at stories and series, she's pretty much new, even though she's been there all along. If that makes sense.

I saw her behavior as a degree of profound unhappiness, I've known a few bullies in my time as well, and I've never known them to be truly happy people, so in general I didn't dislike her before the lost mark, my main emotion before that point was pity, my feeling now are more generous. 

 

Actually, at this point, I even feel sorry for spoiled rich, even though I wouldn't want to spend any time around her (or people like her).  Her behavior indicates that either she was treated this way herself as a filly, or she has truly twisted herself inside with self-deception to believe this is the way she should be..  I wonder if she's too far gone to reach, and a I suspect she will be, but I've known even adults to make a 180 degree turn and alter the direction of their lives.. it's harder as one gets older, but it's not impossible.

Yeah it'll take some time for me to forgive her too, but I certainly don't hate her.
