Not sure how I feel about this. I tried not to get excited about Friendship Games, but I did. I was a little let down by it. It was just okay, just like the first two (at least, in my opinion).

 

Aside from that, I at least like the prospect of seeing outside the school, and the importance of Everfree in the human world (I'm assuming it's some kind of reservation or national park).

 

As with FG, I will see what LoE has to offer (and will probably end up dying in anticipation for, despite myself).

On another tangent, the plot sounds a bit more grounded compared to other, which I'm kinda looking forward too. Hoping there isn't any "supernatural surprises"

I wonder if that Equestria Girls is leaving the school behind and bringing more mystical elements into play. I hope it doesn't try to compete with Friendship is Magic in that regard because, I hope most of us realize, it can't win. EQ will always be overshadowed if it tries. That said, it might be an interesting departure. We'll have to see more and reserve judgment.

The Twilight(s) Sparkle well get to experience the first hand joys of summer vacation. Sounds like a good movie to me. 

 

Hopefully we get to see the Dazzling's again. That plot thread still feels like it's dangling there.

Well, Color me surprised about the promo images in that the designs actually look... NICE. Like, Friendship games designs were horrible, like somebody who was blind just splattered paint all over them.
These actually look really well designed.

One thing I'm curious about, is that normally they put the mascot character on these thing's advertisement, so why aren't twilight and sunset center stage here?

 

That being said...

That premise... is HORRIBLE. Like, really horrible. By far the worst sounding movie theme yet. I just wonder if they'll actually make the them MATTER this time, compared to how Friendship game's Sport's theme was a huge shaggy dog story that did F***all for the plot and was utterly pointless compared to the true point of twilight. (the shadowbolts might as well not even have existed. Like, Did sunny flair even have more than 1 line?

One thing that I kind of wonder about. The "Fashion show" thing makes one think it would have lots of focus around rarity given how she's a dress designer and in MLP made the dresses for the mane six at the gala. But, on the other hand, I thought the same thing about a sports event and RD in FG, and that amounted to nothing XD

Alright, so new toy images.

You'll notice that Principal celestia, twilight, and Sunset all have energy looking wings, while the fluttershy toy does not; This makes me think that they're going to be going with alicorns having energy wings compared to pegasi having "normal" wings in order to visually differentiate the two more.

 

Also, looks confirmed that sunny is full time alicorn Pony girl now and that wasn't just a temporary powerup there.

Can't believe this was announced the day Hasbro confirmed the release date for S6 and the day deadpool came out!

 

Two reasons this looks good already:

 

• We are finally going somewhere else outside the school for once

 

• The promo art actually looks like the real thing unlike the past three movies

I love EqG and I really can't wait for the next one. Dazzlings would be nice but not so sure they'll do it. Decently sure they'll do multi-Twi interaction, though. And Sunset. Yes. Agreed. MORE! She needs more solo or lead vocal songs too. 

 

Given that this is camp...I wonder if they'll pull Rara in?

Camp sounds like a nice premise to me. I sort of hope there will still be a side plot revolving around Sunset being homesick for Equestria like they planned to do with the last one. I mostly hope that because SciTwi attending CH would fill out the team, thus meaning pony Twilight wouldn't have to be involved in this movie at all...and I want her to get involved.
