Starlight Glimmer in EQG 4?

I've been wondering if Starlight would appear in the 4th movie. I've known that the other antagonists from Fim didn't make their appearance but Starlight's character can be rather interesting in the upcoming movie if they incorporate her. Would she be a villain or not? My guess is that she would be a leader of an cult in the everfree forest controlling them to her evil deeds.

 

Or she'll make a brief appearance like the background characters.

This actually sounds like an awesome idea! If she isn't directly involved with the mane 6 this season then that would be a great use of her character. It would work well in my opinion!

Who knows, Starlight might fill the spot as the sixth ranger in FiM, but I don´t see her human counterpart repeating the scene as Sunny pretty much fits the spot now . She might make a cameo, but I don´t expect anything grandiose  -_-

EQG already has the original and superior reformed nega-Twilight who ended up getting a speech about how the rest of the mane 6 would teach her about friendship and ended up becoming a better person.

Why do we need the rehash to be in it?

I don't think so. There are several other characters introduced in FiM that have yet to make an appearance in EqG. I would be pleasantly surprised if Starlight appears, but at this rate, I think we're more likely to see more randoms thrown in.

Based on the replies, Starlight will be like an easter eqq in the corner rather than have a role in the plot.

Starlight is blatantly a stand in for sunset in the Pony world, there's no reason to introduce her in the human world where sunny already exists.

I guess she'll make a cameo at some point, but unless she's the leader of Camp Equality or something I doubt she'll play a very big role. Hell, I hope Twilight actually appears in the movie now that SciTwi is part of the group there.

I'm always getting the names of Starlight Glimmer and Sunset Shimmer mixed up. Why did the writers give two characters such similar-sounding names? Put them both in the same film and I'll be really confused!

Given how hard they were trying to ape sunset with starlight in the premier, You'd basically be introducing a blatant clone of sunset, with no real point
