Remember Cheerilee?

Remember? Teacher of the Ponyville school? Is well-loved by her students, especially the CMCs? This question is basically for the staff. You know how underused Cheerilee has been? She had so many roles back in season 2! Now she only has a couple lines per season.

 

It would be really nice to have an episode with her playing a large support in, much like Hearts and Hooves Day! I mean lately she's just been a BG pony. Nicole Oliver is always around voicing Celestia, so it wouldn't hurt having Cheerilee have some lines more often again.

To be fair, there haven't been many episodes lately taking place around the school, so it makes sense that she hasn't appeared in a while. But I do agree that she desperately needs more attention.

For starters, how can we forget her? I mean come on, she was shipped with Big Mac! But since our CMC got their cutie marks I am sure we won't see the school again for some time. Plus it is not like that don't have a bully anymore to cause drama so we can go to the little school anyway.

Twi could turn to her for help , now that she has to be a teacher herself

I am afraid Cheerilee has fallen victim to Large Ensemble Cast Disease.

Due to how many characters there are to focus on at this time in the show, some characters like her end up getting lost in the shuffle and becoming way out of focus.

This same thing has also happened to Celestia and Zecora.

She's actually one of the few adults in Ponyville that actually acts like a mature adult AND professional.

 

She's practically a role model for the CMCs, even if they don't realize it.

I just mean that there isn't really anywhere else where she can appear naturally, aside from the schoolhouse. I like seeing her outside of teaching though (like in Secret of my Excess), so I get what you mean. I'd love to see more of that.

 

Also, if Twilight had to turn to anyone for teaching help, it would be Celestia. That would be such a great oppurtunity for a Celestia episode. Cheerilee is a different kind of teacher compared to what Twilight is doing. Twi is teaching Starlight friendship lessons through life experiences (like how she learned), while Cheerilee teaches academic subjects. Sorry, this is getting off topic.

So much yes to this! Cheerilee has show to have a fairly unique personality that is both kind ... but you get a sense that inwardly she is constantly facehooving at the shenanigans around her. Love the character and would love to see her get a few more scenes.

Teachers buy dresses, order cakes, have pets and parties, and drink cider too ya know.

She and Twily could at least meet for curriculum and instruction theory.

I agree, Cheerilee should be in another episode (Zecora should be too). And Diamond Tiara and Silverspoon should definitely be in it, we have not really seen the "bullies" since their reformation. I would like to see how life is going for them. Cheerilee and Zecora defintely are more important though.

She was like the partial focus of at least one episode. Im just thankfull they gave her that much. There are tons of other characters i would rather have a whole episode dedicated to.

Jokes aside, I think there should be more episodes that take place in the school. I think that in the next episode there should have things that happen in the classroom that the adult and teen fanbase can relate to, like the teacher giving in a lot of homework and having to do it overnight. Heck, I think there should be an episode all about the stress of school, and for them to add relatable things to it to make it a good episode. But yea, we haven't seen Cheerilie at all in season 6.
