There are a few commercials that make me crack a smile. As long as they aren't overly annoying and overplayed, I usually don't mind them.

I love making fun of infomercials for how ridiculous they can get. "But wait, THERE'S MORE!"

Despise them. I feel like you get more commercials than the actual TV Show half the time. :eww:

I have always had a love/hate relationship with commercials, it depends on the commercials themselves and the program. I have always hated how sporting events are 80% commercials. On top of that, I absolutely despise a lot of commercials these days, because many of them are focusing on being as witty as possible and are hardly about the product in question. I guess one can say they succeed at getting the attention of others, but honestly these types of ads end up annoying the hell out of me so I ignore them completely.

Other than that, at least when I was younger, I actually sorta enjoyed ads. It gave me a sense of connection to the media that I didn't have before and it was really cool seeing commercials for things I liked. Gave them a sense of relatablity. Nowadays though I don't even really watch TV at all so I cannot comment on most of them and youtube ads usually suck.

Talking about me - I hate commercials in the Internets. Sometimes it's really annoying.

But commercials on TV can be useful. When you watch some interesting 2 hour movie without commercial break and feel that you need to toilet, or if you wanna to go and make a sandwitch... well, it's not the best experience. By the way commercials can be really funny!

I find most commercials these days to be full of crap that nobody really cares about. Only a few commercials I actually find funny or amusing.

I just have to point out......those ads you see on your respective country's family channel on a Saturday morning......are cancer, they are so bad, by far the worst of all, they're so cheesy.

personaly i dont like comercials, but that is because i always see the same pointless ads, the ones i dont have money for (cars, vacations, RVs, ATVs, ect) and the ones i want to see are on diffrent channels than i watch... so generaly i dont watch ads of any kind...

but it would be nice if they made a law that made all ads coustomed... so a person like me dont have to watch a bunch of "check with your Dr. about what we are selling, it MAY be for you!!!" well, i have health problems, but non that they are selling a "cure" for...

and all those dateing ads just remind me that i am single....*sigh*   I could definitly go without any more of those...

The unasked questions are what bother me, not the answers. The answers give me clarity. Silence is in its self an answer, so ask! To not ask is to deny the existence of said question, and leaves you with just "what if".

Trust me, 95% of the females on those dating apps are just their to boost their own ego and use guys to get free crap. You don't want none of that...

Do you mean Commercials on Tv?

Well, i often take them as a Toilet break and im actually thankful that they exist, because i dont own a Tv in which you can pause the program.

For Commercials in Dvds, i dont mind them. They are often Commercials that have something to do with my Product.

Like when i buy a DC Comics Dvd it has Trailers from other Dc Or Warner Brothers Products in it, which are fitting.

I only dislike Dvd Commercials, if they have nothing to do with my Product.

I don't watch TV very much anymore, but even back when I did I found commercials annoying. Back then they were at least tolerable, but nowadays I swear every station only has 3-4 commercials they cycle through. For example, despite being in its fourth week, the ad for Queen Of The South still says "Series Premiere" every time.

In this day and age of DVRs and streaming, most people just fast forward through the commercials anyway. If they don't then they take that time to run to bathroom or get a snack, so they still ignore the commercials completely.

I would like to think that commercials are like intermissions. Just a little break from the main program so you can do something else in that time. Some commercials are pretty memorable and funny so all is not lost.

Can't stand em. I threw out my TV ten years ago and haven't regretted it ever since. Everything you'd ever want to watch is available on the internet, anyway, where you can use adblockers.

I don't have a number for the US, but the commercial industry pumps in HUGE amounts of money into ads. Now, they wouldn't do that, of course, if they didn't gain anything from it. Which means that people, probably including YOU and ME - ARE affected by ads. Take it in for a bit. People who want you to buy stuff are successful in altering the way you think or feel about that same stuff. Probably not the end of the world, but still kind of creepy

I don't Like Commericals on the Internet (I use Adblock for Youtube) but I do Like/Dislike Commericals at the Same Time on TV, Some Commericals were Great and Some Commericals were bad.

some of them are funny, but for the most part they just waste my time with stuff I will never buy.

no i don't want to go $40,000 in debt on a new car, no i don't want to go $80,000 in debt for a degree in something. not gonna buy make-up or hair dye, not planning on dropping a grand on a new computer or phone. I already have car insurance and don't plan on switching to a lower rate at a different company so they can raise it higher than what i am paying right now in a few months,

I am not going to "lock in" to a 2 year contract on anything so I can get the low price for a year and then have the price shoot up to some crazy amount for the final year while I am still chained by a contract that you have to pay to get out of. and I don't want to wind up paying 18% interest on a credit card and be up to my neck in debt so I can earn cash back.

I don't do debt or credit and I don't chain myself with agreements and contracts

Not many commercials are that entertaining nowadays.

But all i can say is go back to 2011 when my all time favorite commercials that ever aired were the talking babies. I don't remember what they were advertising, but it still would crack me up.

They're a necessary evil. Companies pay for the programming so we don't have pay for a subscription to any particular channel.

That may apply for over-the-air TV but sadly not much else. I get DirecTV and pay plenty for it, but it still has more commercials than programming most of the time. When cable TV debuted, it was supposed to be an alternative to commercial TV, hence the price, but then the cable companies decided they'd just screw the customer and add commercials as well. Now it's the norm. If you have HBO, you pay the subscription price, but if there's ever anything that's actually worth watching, it's suddenly 'Pay-Per-View' so you get to pay again. If you pay out the nose for a sports package, forget about getting local games because they're always blacked out. And now, most hour-long shows have about 20 minutes of commercials. It used to be 10. They even compress some shows down by speeding up the frame rate (supposedly imperceptibly, but not really) to fit an extra commercial block per hour. As greed continues to expand, so does the amount of commercials.

So I would have to say a big resounding 'NO!' to commercials. They're never interesting enough to justify the interruptions anyway.

I generally hate commercials. A 20 minute show turns into 40 minutes because of stupid, time wasting commercials.

The only commercials I like are Old Spice tbh

I truly hate the Doritos commercial where the mother is getting an ultrasound, and the father is there eating chips in the exam room, like a big slob. He notices the baby moving as he moves the chip. The pregnant woman, who IS NOT to term or in labor, takes the chips and throws them. The baby is seen kicking off, and shoots from the screen on the ultrasound monitor. There are then off camera screams. The mother, not dilated or in labor, would have violently torn open. Her flesh would have ripped apart. She would most likely bleed to death in minutes. The premature baby probably wouldn't survive hitting the floor. The commercial is downright disgusting. I find it to be in very poor taste.

Commercial I love: (It's for GEICO Insurance)

Kids are sitting at their lemonade stand. People keep coming up saying "Is that Ice Tea?" The kids are getting upset, and keep saying. "No, it's lemonade." The camera pulls back. A man on a lawn chair behind them puts down his newspaper and angrily says "What's with these people? Lemonade! Read the sign!"

That man was rapper-actor Ice-T! The first time I saw it (Yesterday) I went into hysterics! Before I even saw this thread, it became my favorite commercial.
