Heavenly Inexplicit 310 October 4, 2016 Share October 4, 2016 (edited) If so, what did you learn? Are you able to relate to a certain character? Which episode(s) resonate with you? I've learned from Flutter Brutter, that everything starts with just one step. A very good thing for me to know! I found the song at the end to be very motivating. stripper 252 October 4, 2016 Share October 4, 2016 Probably not. You can't always apply lessons from fiction to reality. The lessons of friendship seem to be common sense for anyone who doesn't have bad morals. They're simple enough for the target audience to understand. I doubt older fans can actually learn friendship lessons from the show 3 Funny & epic Smash Bros Melee videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dj_54hAA3f0&list=PUtu4yuaEIBcYYMnZie43sfQ 4,300 subscribers

Lisa 5,553 October 4, 2016 Share October 4, 2016 Not really. Like stripper said, many of the messages of friendship the show teaches are common sense among adults. And friendship seems to be the only discussion-worthy concept the show stipulates. There is of course, loyalty, honesty, generosity, kindness and laughter, but these all coincide with friendship in MLP. The show doesn't really delve into any other lessons, it always leads back to friendship. Which is understandable and fine, but as a young adult, these lessons aren't really insightful or interesting; it's shit I already know.
Guest October 4, 2016 Share October 4, 2016 Nah, it's just basic friendship knowledge that you can obtain from watching the show, doesn't really go much further than that, for me personally atleast.
They call me Loyalty 1,955 October 4, 2016 Share October 4, 2016 Mlp brought me back from emotional numbness quite a few times, actually.Sometimes I forget about the meaning of life. The good things. That's as good as it gets, when it comes to lessons for me.I won't forget.

I've learned from Flutter Brutter, that everything starts with just one step. A very good thing for me to know! I found the song at the end to be very motivating. That episode helped me, too. I found myself becoming angrier and angrier as the show progressed; I eventually realized that I was getting frustrated because Zephyr Breeze reminded me of myself (much more than I'd like to admit). I don't consider myself a deadbeat, but "Flutter Brutter" gave me a much needed kick to the flank. I had kind of been using my depression as an excuse to be selfish. Personally, I think that episode was geared more towards adult fans than it was kids. Edited October 5, 2016 by Kings&Hooves14 3 The Brony Code: Humans are a lie, there are only ponies. Prospekt 11,036 October 5, 2016 Share October 5, 2016 If there's anything this show has taught me, it has been how to see the good in the world again. Basically the same thing that @They call me Loyalty mentioned. 3 Signature by Kyoshi
Techno Universal 2,575 October 5, 2016 Share October 5, 2016 The show apparently revealed A completely new way of thinking for me. I now see the world as a slowly Crumbling apart place that needs fixing. Maby if the characters from MLP where created it could make us into a almost perfect society. 2 Message from UNIT: UBC-001 (Original image used made by @chaosprincess signature composed by @Kyoshi) My theory of MLP OC: Techno Universal ask me!: Link

Luminance 2,187 October 6, 2016 Share October 6, 2016 I'm not sure if I learned anything new personally but one thing I know for sure is that the show can changed people's lives for the better. In that regard, I'm grateful that this show had affected others in a positive note.
Dreambiscuit 11,430 October 7, 2016 Share October 7, 2016 I learned that good writing and quality programming wasn't dead after all. But more in the spirit of the question asked, I would definitely say the show has given me things to care about and helped me to remember there is hope and art and beauty in the world. That's extremely important.
Derplight Sperkle 1,017 October 7, 2016 Share October 7, 2016 The major thing I learned from the show is don't judge a book by it's cover. This show is so much better than any initial reactions you would get from the title. Most people see the title and think, Wow this show is childish, girly and probably going to be boring for anyone over the age of 8. I can never now think something is bad unless I personally watch or read it. 2 Signature by me Equestrian Empire Cast Characters: Daring Do, Twilight Sparkle My awesome OC

Violet_S 785 October 7, 2016 Share October 7, 2016 To be honest, the show HAS made me change in more ways than one for the better. It also helped me appreciate more the little things in life and not take them for granted. In the friendship topic, I pretty much knew all about it since its common sense but when it comes to life lessons then yep, I have definitely learned something from it. Let the rainbow remind you, that together we will always shine~
GrimGrimoire 4,973 October 7, 2016 Share October 7, 2016 Thinking on it, the show itself has not "taught" me anything... but it has led me to rethink certain things in my life and re-evaluate my attitude and opinions in several situations. Although in general the messages and "lessons" delivered within the show are common sense and pretty much ideas taught early in life, it is amazing how easily forgettable, lost and just plain abandoned many of those ideals are. I may have learned most of those things at an early age, but in this ever increasing self-centered world I have not found myself applying them as much as i could be or would like to. ~No profound statement needed~
Trixie the Great 71 October 7, 2016 Share October 7, 2016 Yes, I feel like I learn something with every episode. Or rather, I remeber things that I've already learnt in the past (but have forgotten in time). Also, this show taught me to see the good in everyone. It doesn't matter who you hurt, if you're just proving you're the best.

Baykush 328 October 9, 2016 Share October 9, 2016 I've learned from Flutter Brutter, that everything starts with just one step. A very good thing for me to know! I found the song at the end to be very motivating. Also, that it isn't wrong to ask for help when your insecurities get the best of you, as long as you're asking for help to become a better person (or pony, whatever), and not demanding that someone put up with your bad habits.
