Which kind of brony are you?

Having been in the fandom for 4 1/2 years, I think it would be safe to classify myself as an "expert". I've watched all 6 seasons + the 4 EQG movies. I've immersed myself in all types of brony media over the years (music, animation, art, fan-fiction, etc...). I have plenty of merchandise in my house to boot as well (plushies, figures, posters, shirts, comics).

All that said, I still find lot's of enjoyment in the series. I am eagerly awaiting Season 7 + the feature film .

Average. Aside from this site, I don't keep up with the community at all and I don't watch anything beyond Bronies React on Youtube. Maybe the fact that I'm writing a fanfic for it makes me slightly above Average, but still nowhere near expert.

Maybe Average fan, I don't go to Cons or meets-up, but never stop thinking of ponies, specially ones I like and watch fan-made videos and liked pony pictures on Deviart and Tumblr. And part of this forum and check in Equestria Daily everyday.

None of the above.

I just like the cartoon and the characters. I check out the comic and I buy some of the things that interest me. I do not live and breathe pony nor do I consider myself a "brony"... in the same way I liked several of the Star Trek incarnations and shows, but do not consider myself a Trekkie.

That being said, I have average knowledge about the show and fandom.

if you are on this site, you are absolutely far above average.

the fans that reach out to online communities are a small percentage of the total fans.

that said, my knowledge of fan songs is abysmal.

IMO, you're not "officially" a brony at all until you do that.

That kind of a fan who actually plays Pokemon instead of watching the show at certain points.

I'd say average, even though my knowledge about the show does say I'm a bit more than that. I like being called just an average fan instead of a brony as I don't really like being called that.

I'm also in between average and expert! I know a lot about ponies, I analyze and I love the show. I also know about a lot of fan animations, horsefamous YouTubers, background ponies, voice actors, everything like that is pretty on point for me. So, I suppose I'm pretty nerdy about this show as well as many of the other shows I watch. I'm a passionate person about stuff, okaaay...

I think I'm average. I watched every episode at least two times, read some comics and I'm familiar with many fanworks, but still I don't feel like an expert.

so, my 29 year old sister, who has seen almost all the episodes multiple times, read most of the comics, and has been to a brony convention...

doesn't count as a brony in your eyes?

If they've been to a brony convention, that's basically the same thing as signing up for Poniverse.

But yeah, I can see your point.

Glad to see veteran fans still vividly enjoying and loving the show! I know hobbies come and go but makes me sad that so many people moved on.

I started 2013 and I admit last 2016 I barely followed the show but because i didnt have computer to see the show. Still at the end i watched the new episodes on my wii u xD

Now this january it bloomed in me another brony boom that I didnt had since 2015. Im listening pony songs all day, im going to watch the whole show again (also eason 5 and 6 i watched them pixelated on wii u's gamepad, and now finally Ill watch them 1080p HD at the big tv  ), I wanna start reading the comics again, for my first time in my life my phone wallpaper is MLP themed xD (a siluette of sunburst). I had stored for more than a year my two funko vynils ponies, and now im putting them again in my room, I registrered in this forum..

so yeah, Im super fan again xD super exited for S7,the movie, and the 3 EG special episodes.

About OPs question, Im more than average fan but not expert. I consider experts know tons of facts, and im pretty bad remembering even names, so im worse at facts xD I watched all the show and movies and now im watching it again, but i did not read all the comics.

Still I maybe not feeling an expert but im feeling really appasionate about MLP

A level headed fan that only has a few comics, not much merchandise, watches the show legally, reads fanfiction, and goes to these forums, but has other interests than FIM, and I don't lead it consume my life.

I am confident that i'm above average, i watched episodes more than ten times, read fanfics, checked EQD more than 3 times per day, check mlp forum occasionally, subcribed about 20 mlp reactions/analysis channels, read all episode synopsises because i cant wait to watch them, and mlp is the only cartoon show i spend too much time for. I dont know what wrong with me...

I dont consider myself a veteran because i cant make reviews, fanfics, musics, short video but i am sure that i am above average.
