general Anyone here can't drive?

I can't drive for three reasons. One would be that I have a mental disability. Two is that drivers where I live don't understand the rules of the road and I almost lost my mother in a car crash. Three would be because I refuse to drive due to the second reason.

And then I find out he's a cop... Oops.

I can't. I'm kinda lopsided, so I tend to swerve to one side, making it look like I'm drink driving. I also have terrible attention span and concentration skills. I'd love to drive and not have to rely on public transport but it's an impossibility for me sadly. I eventually just let my learner's liscence expire and got a normal proof of age id..

I can't drive because I don't have a licence, and the reason I don't is because I'm terrified of driving ever since I crashed my dad's car when I was 8. Oh, sure, I can get in a car no problem, but put me behind a wheel and I freak out.

I do have my permit (Got it when I was 17. 19 now) but I'm just too afraid to drive in a car that isn't one of those that are used for training people to drive... I just get really scared when I have to...

I am honestly afraid of driving. I'm at an age where people tell me that I "should be able to." But I can't help but fear being behind the wheel. My reasonings are silly, which also doesn't help me.

In light of this, I live in a city where public transportation is abundant so I don't worry too much about it.

I dislike the sole idea of having a car, dunno why. Therefore I don't know how to drive, and I probably won't learn how to anytime soon.

I drive, but whether or not I'd be considered 'able to drive' is another matter. The sounds of honking horns, screeching brakes and volleys of angry profanities in my wake might suggest otherwise. But honestly, there's a vanity mirror right there on my sun visor for a reason and I should make sure my hair is nice for work, right? There's a CD player too, so it would be a waste of equipment if I didn't take a minute or three during my commute to find the right music, stick it in and tune it to the song I want, right? And what about the little dangly things hanging from my rear-view? They're so pretty and demand at least a moment of my attention! I don't know what the big deal is, but some people on the road just get so uptight, I don't think they should be given licenses.  :muffins:

Nope! I have a disability which might contribute to me not really knowing how close or far away I am to something. I tried many years ago and after being told by doctors that I won't be able too I just gave up.

We live in a world that's full of trains, buses, planes, friends that can drive, parents, Uber's and Lyfts. I get around more then fine trust me.

;)

Besides cars are too expensive for me anyway.

I used to be able to drive, then I had a pretty bad car crash a few years ago that I'm still feeling the effects of. I'm probably physically capable of driving now, but I don't know if I'm mentally prepared to get behind the wheel again. Plus, I smoke a lot of weed, and that probably wouldn't help me out on the road.

I drive, but that was a long time ago. But now, I don't . When going places, I just commute by bus or what ever mode of transportation that gets me to my destination.

I can drive, even have a E license. If it's a stick shift? Forget about it. I've tried several times and hated it to the point I just tell people I won't drive it.

I cannot drive either, due to crippling anxiety issues. Numerous times I have tried to put myself in various driving scenarios in my mind and I just cannot do it. I heart rate would be skyrocketing at every car passing me or at every stoplight.

I can relate (to a smaller degree) I made a big mistake of getting a convertible and everytime I have to stop it feels like I'm being watched by hundreds and the anxiety spikes. Don't go anywhere anymore unless it's up.

I cannot drive. I guess I could, but I just haven't gotten the motivation yet, still I'm 22 years old.

I haven't had the money to, either. Also I suck at studying and studying is needed for the rules and whatnot.

ALSO....... I'm kinda scared. I don't want to mess up and I ALWAYS mess up everything I do.

In all honesty i'm very often in a physically unfit state to drive but still have to anyway.

The medication I take for depression and anxiety causes intense sleepiness, blurred vision and lightheadedness along with severe insomnia(like commonly 3 days of no sleep or at best 2 hours a night bad) but still have to commute to jobs since I live alone. Obviously I prefer not to be that way and have discussed any and all solutions to my medication(almost all of them causing worse symptoms) but i've found I just have to deal with any ways I can including eating, showering and drinking caffeine at very specific times of the day to even mitigate the problems.

Because all my works have been a half hour to an hour away just by freeway usually 3 or 4 cities away public transpiration is not even a reasonable option. Its been going on so long(6 years) i've developed a sort of subconscious system to operating at least somewhat reasonably which has apparently worked pretty well considering i've never been in an accident before but it really is something I couldnt and wouldnt operate without a car.

My dad had me take drivers ed the moment I was eligible and the same week I turned 16 he had me at the Secretary of State to get my Liscense. Where I live driving is more of a necessity rather than a luxury. When college starts for me I am going to be on the roads daily driving to school. As far as how good I am at driving I would say I'm alright. Despite other motorists I am always vigilant, careful and do my best to maintain the speed limit. Currently I drive a 2002 Monte Carlo SS.

I can technically drive, since I already got my license and everything. Although I never wanted to get a license, my parents kinda forced me to because they deem it "necessary". But whatever.

I don't drive because I'm completely terrified of it. Whenever I'm on the driver's seat, I immediately panic and start shaking uncontrollably. So because I'm aware of this crippling fear of mine, I'd much rather always take the bus, a taxi, an Uber, or simply walk to my destination so I don't harm others and/or myself.

I got my license after I graduated from college. I drove a delivery van and then I drove a pickup in winter in Alberta. I went into the ditch a few times. But the guys pulled me out. I would make other guys drive for me and made it seem like I was doing them a favor because they didn't have to ride the bus.
