Is anyone else dissapointed we still don't have one with a name? The librarian is still the closest one for a Chrystal pony character. I feel it's a shame since they have such a wonderful design and interesting culture and backround. My wish is that there is a map episode in Crystal Empire since we should get charcaters that way. Maybe Rarity should go so she would get 3/3 out of places she loves lol. Some history episode would be even better but almost impossible that it would happen. Or Cadance/Shining Armour episode (but they could just end up chatting with Sunburst and some nameless Crystal Ponies anyway...)

The name issue is interesting, crystal based names sound interesting and possible. I wonder if they would have vaguely Latin or Greek sounding names based on the styles of hair and armor they use. Even Celestia and Luna have old fashioned names. Then again Commander Hurricane and Private Pansy from the past certainly did not and they were somewhat similarly dressed even if not from Crystal Empire. Neither did the other ponies form the past have any unusual names in that episode.

I assume it was not middle of nowhere back when it was founded, it seems very old. It could have been the windigos that turned the are a frozen wasteland in the first place and the Empire solved it issue with the Crystal Heart when the other ponies were in trouble. I want more backstory!

 

And it would be fun to see more Sunburst if it is not just him and no new chrystal pony characters.

oooh that makes sense! Now that the city is back I would like Mane6 to try solve this and regenerate the whole empire. I feel bad everyone is shut up away in the city sorrounded by eternal snow tempest xD And it would be sooo amazing to see them fighting against Windigos!

So what? That is their official names given by Hasbro. There are several non-crystal ponies living in Ponyville and Canterlot that have never been named in show that still have official names. If they ever do have some sort of episode with more depth to the Crystal Empire, then we might get more of them speaking to each other by name, otherwise we may have to settle for the way Hasbro seems to prefer to do it now.

Most people don't follow other media than the show itself. And more importantly the fact that a charcater is not named is a sign of how that character is not that important for the show.

 

So it would be please you more: "Do you think we will see a important Crystal pony charcater in the show? Someone with a plot relevance and who we will also see in future when we visit the city and is maybe becomes a friend with some of the characters?"

Even then Crystal ponies are not fully chrystally usually. I feel this is animation issue more than anything, those forms might be harder to make.

That would be unfortunate if crystal ponies were actually fragile... Anyway, to actually hear a crystal pony being talked about and named in the show, as well as given a full personality and story would be amazing. I can't wait for it to happen, I'm sure it will. I hope.

I agree that Chrystal ponies need more love. There are so many things I want to learn about them. Like do they have any special traits apart from the connection to the Chrystal Heart and sparkles? What are their cultural differences? What do the Chrystal pony/other kind of pony hybrids look like?

Anyway, a Shiny/Cady episode is the closest the show can get to this topic. I hope we will have an episode like this eventually.

See my post above. Several of them do actually have names, just none of them are named in show, although some do have speaking roles. They are named in official Hasbro merchandise though. The problem with Amore and Hope is that they are comic book only, and as such unless Hasbro breaks on it, they have no connection to the show, and as such may or may not be canon to it depending upon how you personally feel. The OP is wishing for important crystal pony characters within the show... which I can agree with since I think there is a lot of story there still to tell. It is possible we will see a cutie map episode regarding it eventually... or at least so i hope.

It kinda sucks that there are all these crystal ponies with names, and yet they are never used in the story, and mainly only used for the toys.. With a few good stories, I think the Crystal Empire could become an even better place.
