Since Twilight is going to battle the Pony of Shadows in this season's finale, do you think Chrysalis will return in the S8 premiere?

I have been hearing about the Pony of Shadows, I assume that is Sombra we are talking about?

Knowing that rogue Changelings can exist, it does seem like a proper fit for chrysalis to return and exploit that. Not sure how much that determines the odds of her reappearance but there is a lot of potential for one last big showdown with her. Sure, it could lead to a reformation which I know a lot of people hate, but I am fine with it.

Doesn't look like sombra; and it'll probably  be a callback in some way to the pony of shadows legend/being from castlemania too.

Chrysalis is the closest thing ponies have gotten as a recurring antagonist, so I think she deserves either a season, or series finale

Or you can do what they did with Shitty Waifu and make the premiere also about the Pony of Shadows. Maybe we can actually have a villain obtain a brief victory for a change. It worked for Star VS, and it does build hype.

Discorvery's press release was the source, so I guess it's pretty much official. My only doubt, is that it was a typo and mistakenly meant Starlight instead. It could sound unlikely, but in past there have been a pair of synopsises with a typo in it. I really hope I'm just overthinking.

Given how the Pony of Shadows is appearing in the season 7 finale and kinda looks like a changeling,

I wouldn't be surprised if Chrysalis returned in this season's finale and used dark magic to summon him or something.

I hope she does, and it's pretty likely to happen aswell. She's one of if not the main antagonists left in the show.

I believe she's going to return in Season 8, but I don't know whether for the opener or for the finale. I'm going to bet To Change A Changeling is going to give us some more information about this arc.

I think that is Tirek, and he's just not the actual Pony of Shadows.

Its from the shadowlock arc; that arc was stated explicitly to tie into S7's plot, and the sole point of that series, in a meta sense, was to introduce that final image of an evil alicorn looking guy.

really? cool i feel s7 finale will be a dark episode. and prob will ties in with the movie maybe?
