"True, but gotta make sure it lasts a very long time." Thunder said as he continued to eat his pizza. He soon finished up. "Well then...that hit the spot. I'd say it's time we tuck in, been quite the day...if I say so myself..." Thunder said thinking about how he and Starlight met earlier.

Starlight finished up and complimented as to how good the pizza was before looking to him nervously. "Y-yes it has been..." she said in a quite nervous, meak tone as she thought about the way he defeated her magic so simply.

Thunder sensed Starlight still thinking about when they first met by the tone of her voice and the look on her face. "But look how it's turned out...and look forward to meeting new friends tomorrow." Thunder said picking up Starlight and hugging her close, stroking her mane again.

She nervously smiled to him as he picked her up and hugged him back softly. "I suppose your right..." Starlight said with a small smile as she was held by him and her mane stroked by him.

Thunder carried Starlight to his bed and laid her down softly on his cloud bed. He then got under the covers and snuggled Starlight close, wrapping one of his large wings around her as well. "Well then...good night Starlight, see you in the morning..." Thunder said with a yawn, slowly drifting off to sleep.

Starlight turcked herself under his wing, her hooves gently held onto it a bit. The cloud of the bed was extremely soft, much more than a normal bed. She enjoyed this feeling. She didn't reply to him, but simply smiled as she drifted off to sleep.

Thunder slept soundly through the night. 

The next day, the sun rose slowly in the morning. Thunder slowly opened his eyes, stirring lightly. He gently patted Starlight. "Starlight...it's morning time..." He said softly, stroking her mane lovingly again.

Starlight had slept softly through the night. In the morning she slowly opens her eyes, looking to thunder. She blink a bit as she was patted and smiled. "Good morning Thunder..." she says quietly, just like he did.

"How'd you sleep?" Thunder asked. His wing was still wrapped around Starlight. "I slept well. It's always amazing to sleep on a cloud bed isn't it. It's so soft that it just calms and relaxes all the muscles in your body." Thunder stated.

Starlight smiles. "I slept well with you. This cloud bed is extremely soft for sure...and you put your wing over me too like a blanket...it's very trusting of you to say the least." she said in a little bit of a surprised tone.

"Yea, how'd it feel under my wing by the way? Soft? Anyway, want some pancakes for breakfast? I have some of the best pancake mix straight from Manehattan." Thunder said using his wing to tickle Starlight's side.

Starlight giggles at the wing tickle there. She hasn't giggled like that in a very very long time. She seemed truly happy for once. "Y-yes! I'd love pancakes." she said to him in great enjoyment.

"Your giggle is so adorable." Thunder said as he slowly rolled out of bed and stretched. Sparks of electricity crackled as Thunder stretched. He then relaxed and waited for Starlight to get out of bed.

She simply smiles as he gets out of bed. Then she does and stretches, showing off her cutie mark a bit and then she made her hair with her magic. It went back to exactly the way it was when he saw her first. Perfect.

Thunder went to brush his teeth, and then to the kitchen to prepare the pancakes. He got out the cooking sheet and the bowl. He got out the pancake mix, plus the other ingredients needed to make the pancakes.

She followed him out into the kitchen, watching him make the pancakes. She smiled to him and with a blue flash, her teeth where white. It was a teeth cleaning spell. "Haven't used a tooth brush in many years." she laughs.

"You know you don't have to use magic all the time Starlight. Sometimes, doing it without magic is better. According to the dentist, using too many tooth whitening spells can cause decay due to the fact that magic is produced by energy, which is heat." Thunder explained as he continued to prepare the pancakes.

She rose an eyebrow. "Never knew you'd know so much about a tooth whitening spell." she shrugged at that as she watched him make the pancakes. "I could probably work up a spell and do away with the decay should it happen to cause any problems."

"Maybe spells aren't always the best option Starlight. Sometimes, doing things the traditional way could help you analyze and scrutinize every detail. I may use my abilities to perform certain tasks, but I don't solely depend on them." Thunder said as he mixed the pancake batter and poured 8 pancakes on the cooking sheet.

As she watched him make the pancakes she asked, "Maybe I could make those with a spell? They would be made within an instant! Perfect, delicious, and fast!" she said watching him. "With magic you can do everything, and analyze every detail of the spell you are doing too."

"Starlight...if there's one thing you must learn...it's this...nothing or nopony is perfect. Sometimes I even goof up spells. The point is...the more you focus on things being perfect...the harder you'll be on yourself...that's why I do things in multiple ways...it's also fun when a friend joins in." Thunder said as he flipped the pancakes.

Starlight frowned slightly at what he said. "Ohhh alright...."  she said grudgingly and just sat there watching him make the pancakes. "I guess in a way...when I ruled that town I wanted to create a perfect society and we know...how that went.' she sighs.

"That's the thing...a society that tries to be the perfect society is the one thing that will cause it to crumble." Thunder stated as he put 4 pancakes on a plate for Starlight, and the the remaining 4 for himself.

She shuffled in her chair a bit as she started to eat. "4 for me, 4 for you. That's Equal." she says with a little bit of a sly smirk and greatly enjoys the taste of the pancakes themselves as she continued to eat.

"A different kind of equal Starlight." Thunder said looking at Starlight with a little more seriousness. Thunder then took the maple syrup and poured it on top of his pancakes. He then gave the syrup to Starlight.
