What headcanons do you have?

I think a constancy in this fandom overall it's that everyone has headcanons about the characters and if you are like me, these headcanons are basically canon in your mind, so, what are your headcanons about the characters or the show?

 

Mine are:

-The mane 6 (except Twilight) stop hanging out with Glimmer after Every Little Things She Does.

-Twilight develop a closed relationship with Glimmer than with the mane 6 in her last year in Ponyville.

-Equestrian rules are different from human work in the relationship with danger, as no one has a problem with Rarity's parents going for vacations over and over again and lefting Sweetie Belle alone or with Rarity.

-Speaking of ^ Rarity's dad is a former sucesfull player of the equestrian equivalent of American Football and he retired early because he is rich, spending most of his days in vacations with his wife.

-Twilight's age is 16 by the first season and 20 by the last.

-Sunset Shimmer was destined to be Celestia's succesor and Twilight is her replacement (and Moondancer is Twilight's replacement)

Celestia and Luna have alicorn parents and were born to them. Starswirl didn't raise them.

Hmm... I have a few headcanons.  They are both from G5 and G4, so please bare with me:

- Sprout secretly has a crush on Hitch, always hating the fact that he was in his shadow.

- Izzy had constantly tried to straighten and dye her hair to "fit in" with the rest of her townspeople, but it didn't work. Her hair didn't color and it just poofed up again! She eventually gave up and embraced herself.

- Twilight is neurodivergent, with a hyper-fixation on magic.

- Discord is gender non-conforming.

- Pinkie PIe is actually very insecure about herself, which is why she feels the need to be bubbly and loud.

Considering how many Winters/Hearth's Warmings we went through during generation 4 (seven I think) she must have been in Ponyville a few years longer than that.

My headcanon is that the Equestria Girls versions of Rarity and Applejack got married at some point.

Big mac is clearly 100% trans femme

First of all, he almost never talks. this could be easily traced back to voice dysphoria.  we see in "Where the Apple Lies" that he did talk when he was younger. quite a lot, actually, before his voice deepened. some may think that he stopped talking when his parents died.. however, in this episode the fillies were already in granny smith's full care, so that disproves that. 

In fact, the only time he really speaks freely after his voice develops is in "Brotherhooves Social" where he insists on pretending to be Apple Bloom's female cousin to allow her to compete. He seems to thoroughly enjoy this, and talks his arse off as he is being allowed, for the first time, to force his voice to be a more feminine pitch. He also has a feminine name already picked out for himself ("Orchard Blossom")

I'd also like to point out that in "Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep?" while he is dreaming, Big Mac choses to completely bedazzle himself, adding gold shoes, a silky gold mane, and jewels all over his.... what is that thing he wears around his neck? I know it's for dragging plows or something... he just goes to town on feminizing himself

Exactly! There are some people that argue that "he is 100% male ," and I'm like, "bruh how?"

Wow... I never thought about this. This is actually a fantastic headcanon, and there's definitely a ton of evidence to support it!

This is another headcanon that makes a lot of sense.

The reason Sunset Shimmer hates churros is because Celestia is a terrible cook.

More of a broad headcannon, but I think Changelings are actually empathic. They can sense and read the emotional states of others. How? Well what do changelings feed off of? Emotion. And how do you look for food? You have a sense of smell for it to detect if it's near and if it's good or bad. Changelings would have evolved to detect emotions beyond verbal and non-verbal cues.

The first alicorns are of extraterrestrial origin, inspired by the poem’s title  “The Unicorn from the Stars”, by the poet W. B Yeats

 

From the same work, describing the alicorn as “Creatures of ecstatic destruction”, gave me the renewed interest of an evil non seen before sibling for Celestia and Luna, an early antagonist concept for the pony movie. Just have to think of another name as “Cosmos” got taken. Instead of the retired princesses, or Twi, I’ll make Tempest Shadow his arch enemy, as she’s what Cosmos ended as in development   

Deities, and alicorns, all currently live in the human world

I’ll take the developer’s word, and the girl in Rollercoaster of Friendship isn’t Megan Williams. Megan is the head of Equestria Land, inspired by her earlier adventures in pre-Equestria, and said kid is her daughter 

Gusty’s strongest  ally against Grogar was Megan. She was rewritten as another unicorn due to scarce descriptive records, and general ignorance of what a human is

 

barely below alicorns, all pony species can transform into stronger versions of their species. Such state of ponies are known as “Mearas” (I wasn’t leaving a LOTR out of headcanon )

 

hippogriffs are descendants of ponies and griffins.

Yes! I 1000% agree.

He would just be like, "and what is it to you...?" and make a bunch of trees come to life or something like that, lolol. He would try to hide that fact that he doesn't care and literally doesn't know.
