*Out of nowhere, a giant birthday cake could be seen rolling into the forums on a moving tray cart. Once the tray cart slows to a stop, a purple mare suddenly pops out of the cake*

Tada~! SURPRISE!!! HEYA, EVERYPONY! HAPPY BITTHDAY!!!

*Turns to look at the destroyed cake that she had jumped out of. Her jaw dropping slightly, before turning back with a smile*

I admit that I wanted to jump out of another cake, but that's okay! Pinkie helped me with creating the cake, but Pixel helped in making an extra, back up cake! Pinkie had said that the first cake was for testing and for jumping out of. The moment I heard the news, I just knew I couldn't resist jumping out of the cake!

That's right! It is I, Buffy, the birthday mare!! Here to wish MLPForums a happy birthday! Another year has come and gone and that means another year to celebrate friendships, memories and all things fun!

The preparations are all set up! We've got snacks! We've got punch! We've got music to dance to! Games to play! All we need now are all the lovely friends to join in on the fun! To converse, have fun, bask in the memories and all things MLPF! There's even a fun fact or two to share with you all!  

Fun fact: Did you know that MLPF is actually a CANADIAN organization!?

As Pixel, Pinkie and I were setting up this party, it got me thinking about the forums. So much has happened since the last time we celebrated the forum's birthday. Many new friends had joined us, bonds had been formed and current bonds became even stronger! Seeing so much has happened had made me want to find a way to celebrate the forums!

Which is why I came up with a great idea! Everyone that joins in on the party can write a letter! It can be a valuable lesson of friendship that you learned, or even talking about your journey when joining the forums! Just like how Twilight Sparkle and her friends had sent letters to Princess Celestia whenever they learned a valuable friendship lesson. Whether it's your first year joining or your fifth year or more! I want to hear from you on how much the forums means to you!

Please post your letters to me here in the thread! Tag your friends that would love to take part in the festivities! Never forget to have fun as today is a special day for the forums! Always make plenty of memories that will truly last a lifetime!

I have been on the forums since the end of 2022, but I left the forums and deleted my account last year due to real life issues. Without delving too deep into details right now,  there was a point where I did not believe in friendship anymore and thought it was non-existent, at least for me. My heart was damaged, hurt, and it felt like it was never going to heal ever again. It was thanks to a very special friend that I met here that left me a message when I left, that started to make my heart feel okay again.

I'm really glad that I have returned to the forums earlier this year. I have gone through a lot recently, but it's made me appreciate the community and friendships more. I'm thankful to be here with each and every one of you.  I'm so glad that this community exists as I have been able to make so many wonderful connections and meet such awesome people. Every single one of you is freaking incredible!!!

While I'm here, I'd like to say thank you to the Staff for all the hard work that they have done over the years. These people are nothing short of amazing and are the pillars of this community.

Most importantly, I'd like to thank the community for being absolutely endearing and welcoming to myself and many other lovely souls that have entered these forums.

I will never forget the kindness that you have all shown me. During my time here, I wish to help others realize their full potential and inspire them to do more good in the world. I want everyone to realize that they are much more amazing than they truly believe.

Every single one of you is capable of so many fantastic things in life and I truly believe that you will all achieve your dreams.  I continue to wish every person here, the best in their future endeavors.

Lifelong friendships, newfound passion, blossoming love, and much more started here. I have a best friend now for the first time in years, which I never thought would have happened again.

What great news!!

I will write my letter as if it were to Princess Celestia, it makes me feel happy! 

Dear Princess Celestia, I am writing this letter to tell you about my life at the moment 

Today I was in an emotional meeting with several friends irl, it has been a time of changes and it has left me with valuable lessons that I will share later. Here in the forum I am a local artist, usually I only dedicate myself to that but I have been able to connect with some people and even make some friends over the years, it is something that makes me very happy! Even though I am somewhat shy I always get excited reading the posts and writings of the ponies here present. One lesson I have learned is to appreciate the things you have in your life and, also, to know that changes are good and necessary!

I feel that I will make more friends in the future and all things will be for the best! also seeing the good news from the few friends I have made here

Dear Buffy,

Firstly, I wanted to say Happy Birthday to MLPForums! It almost feels unreal that it's been 13 years since this forum was first created. However, looking back on when I first joined, it feels like it's been so much longer. So many fun memories have been made and so many friends have been founded. If there's one lesson that I've learned since joining the forums that I want to share with everyone. I would say that true friendships can happen from out of anywhere. Whether it be a chance encounter or from an interaction between liking similar interests, true friendship can happen just about anywhere on the forums. Just like how Twilight had told Sunset that the magic of friendship isn't just found in Equestria, it's everywhere. It's that lesson and the lesson of friendship never being easy, but it's no doubt worth fighting for are two lessons I hold near and dear to my heart. Looking back, I always remembered how nervous I was when browsing the forum threads. Whether I was afraid of making a fool of myself or fearing that what I said could be taken out of context or seen in a bad way. I've learned that it's okay to be true to yourself and that true friends are always there for you, no matter what.

We all go through many trying or difficult times in our lives. Times where we can feel truly happy, feel frustrated in our shortcomings, laughing in the good times, feeling sad when we feel we've hit our lowest moments. However, it's the friends that we've made on here, the people that mean the world to us, will always be there to support us. The same can be said to always supporting your friends if they are feeling these similar feelings, as well. I myself have felt that I've gone through a lot. Gaining things, losing things, learning new things that I may not have known before. However, throughout it all, I've found many people in my life that I can call my best friends and I'm truly grateful and blessed to have them in my life. @Ice Princess Silky <3 @Sir Hugsalot @Treeglow Flicker  @VinylWubs @Mothra @Samurai Equine @Comp @TheRockASaurus @Sophie @Astralshy @Bright Honor @Nightmare Wolf and so many others that I've met throughout my journey on the forums. That sense of joy in sharing laughs together, memories that truly last a lifetime, being there for one another. The many friends I've made have helped me to find confidence within myself  when I felt afraid or couldn't find my voice. Not only that, but they've taught me to have the courage to never give up when there have been times I wanted to give up on myself. I honestly don't know where I'd be without these precious people that I call my friends. There have been moments where I felt that I don't deserve friendship or anyone in my life, but at every turn my friends have always reminded me how much they all truly mean to me. I'm truly grateful that I was introduced to the forums as I feel like I've been opened up to a world that truly adds upon the magic of friendship. Here's to another amazing year of the forums and to many more happy, loving, bright friendships and future ahead.

Dear Princess Buffy,

It's actually my first time celebrating the MLP Forums birthday, since I'm hardly more than one year old in this community. It is weird to say that when I think of all the adventures I went through and all the friends I made, since I arrived! It's as if it was impossible that I was not elder than this on the MLP Forums! However, it is the truth! I lived more enriching experiences in this short amount of time than in my entire life! Before I had no friends and now I have so many that I wouldn't dare to try to count them, in fear of forgetting one! Thos community is the most wholesome thing I've ever seen in my life and I'm grateful for being part of it. One day, I said to a friend :

"As you know, I didn't really have an easy life. I didn't really have any place inside of which I felt loved and wanted enough to call it my home.
