If MLP Forums failed to launch, I wouldn't have a home on the internet, simple as that. I would probably be lurking aimlessly around Ponychan and wouldn't be nearly as active in the brony community as I am.

I think what people are doing is describing how they'd react if the website simply ceased to exist, rather than never existed at all.

 

If it never existed, I probably would have joined a different MLP forum, or if none could be found that I liked, I would never have joined a forum. Consequently, I probably would never have discovered I liked writing.

I'm confused. By "failed to launch" do we mean failed to load, i.e., the webpage came up with an error, or failed to launch as in failed to become successful due to one issue or another?
