In all seriousness, it depends on the content of the thread. If it's something meaningful, or something that has merit, yes. Otherwise most likely not.

To me it just depends if I have anything to add to the conversation but if someone I do know joins in a thread it certainly gets my attention a bit quicker.

I must admit, I'm not really guilty of that. I often check the thread because the topic interests me.

Of course, provided that I'm subscribed to the thread and that person has a knack for making either well thought out/detailed posts or amuses me in some way, then I don't see why not!

 

Otherwise, I pretty much have no content or opinion to post there in the first place!

Actually, yes. If i see someone i think highly of in a thread, i would be interesting in seeing what they have to say, as well as what they responded to, even if i don't have much to say on the subject.
