Today we gather to celebrate Nikola Tesla, the greatest geek that ever lived.

If you don't know who he was, then read this.

This man invented the power that we use today to power every single home today.

He invented the light bulb, yet Edison got credit for it because he figured out how to sell the light bulb.

The radio was based off of Tesla's work. yet Tesla let the Marconi continue despite him using 17 of his patents.

He came up with the idea of the radar, 18 years before Watson-Watt.

He built the first Hydro-Electric plant at Niagara Falls and proved that Hydro-Electric power was a practical energy source.

He held patents over a hundred years ago that were later used in development of the transistor.

He did tons of things that have revolutionized how our civilization works today.

If it wasn't for him, we would still be lighting out houses with candles.

Almost everything that relies on electricity exists and works because of of Tesla.

He was one of the greatest people who ever lived, and yet he died broke, alone, eating crackers in a hotel room. So now I (And hopefully you will too) bid tribute to the person who made computers, the internet and MLPForums and much more possible.

Thank you Nikola Tesla for everything that you have done and may you rest in peace.

Seriously, do the slightest bit of research onto the Edison-Tesla rivalry and you realise that Edison was a...not so nice thing.

 

Of course. Edison stole Tesla's push ups.

Actually it was dogs and cats. He even payed children to bring him cats and dogs just to say that DC is better than AC. Edited by MrL0LZlicious
