Rainbow Dash versus Pikachu...FIGHT!

Yeah, But you know as well as i do, Rainbow Dash beats all! Just look at your signature and Profile picture~

And pony's are sentient, Because they are the leading species on their planet, right?

Yes, yes of course, Dashie is best pony! But I mean that non-sentient beings can be more powerful than sentient. For example the Xenomorph from the Alien movies isn't really sensitive but more of a killing machine, yet he slaughters everyone xD

However, Pokémon DOES have feelings, in the beginning of the anime it's less obvious but later on (most) Pokémon starts to act more and more like their trainer (see Pikachu and Ash).

But by sentient, do you mean that they don't have the ability to speak?

Oh no, I don't mean that. Sentient generally means the species that have reached 'sentient evolutionism'. Like Humans, We think for ourself and one another, Make things, you know. That is what separates us from tigers. Doesn't mean tigers can't kill us, Of course they can. But tigers aren't rainbow dash.

See? XD

Oh. I thought sentient meant that you have feelings or can think in a more advanced way, you know what I mean?

Oh, I understand, Of course. I guess it only makes sence, Huh? ^^

Hmm. Now, I won't say that I hate Pokemon. I just really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, REALLY dislike it.

Still (and it pains me to say this), I think Pikachu would zap the shit out of Dashy. Sure, she dabbles in lightning from time to time (like in Luna Eclipsed) but lightning is kind of Pikachu's thing, ya know? In a fight, I think he'd win.

Think of the sentience of Dash to Pikachu this way.

Pikachu is, more or less, programmed in a way that it has to use certain attacks in certain ways such as double team, quick attack or thunder bolt. Yes, it can maneuver itself in different ways for these attacks, but it has to for the most part use those specific attacks almost akin to a pattern. Plus Pikachu is usually commanded for attacks as well. Yes it could attack by itself, but it usually doesn't see the entire scene like the commander could and is limited by itself.

Rainbow Dash on the other hand does not. She can use whatever attacks she wants in any way she feels. BUT, she is not specifically trained for actual fights like this.

Look at mine and Lostwanderer's posts on page 5 for some specific areas on this subject.

Well, actually, if you have seen the anime you can see that Pokémon can improvise moves and come up with new ones as well.

I don't think that Pikachu is any worse than RD when it comes to fighting, if Pikachu needed to attack with another move than he usually uses, then he would do it, simple as that. It's not like Pikachu is stupider than Dashie or anything and can't think for himself >_>

True, Pokémon Trainers give their Pokémon orders, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the Pokémon can't fight for itself.

Also:

it usually doesn't see the entire scene like the commander could and is limited by itself.

If Pikachu can't see the whole scene, Rainbow Dash can't either. Dashie DOES have the ability to fly, but just because she can doesn't mean that Pikachu is any worse.

Well if Rainbow Dash is classified as a flying type then she has no chance of winning in a Pokemon battle, Pikachu is pretty fast too, and if it went first then RD would probably be one hit KO'd by a Thundebolt since I can't imagine RD having high Special Defense.

See that's the thing. Since she isn't a pokemon she doesn't have those strange effects like being super effective or being critical hit by an attack. Plus Rainbow Dash is the manager at the Weather Control, as in she can control tornadoes (this takes a while to form though) and clouds, and to that extent, lightning and water. Not sure if she can make wind, but it's plausible.

Why would they put in control someone with a high damage ratio to electricity in charge of things with electricity? It's like putting someone with arachnophobia in charge of the tarantula exhibit, or a person with Osteogenesis Perfecta (Brittle Bones Disease) being put in a football team.

Trixie shocked Rainbow Dash with a small ounce of lightening as compared to Pikachu's raging Thunderbolt. Did you forget Iron Tail as well? In a melee battle, one-hit KNOCKOUT for Rainbow Dash.

If you had read earlier post on this topic you'd see the arguments have already been stated for those in specific you had just stated.

Judging by the strengths and weaknesses of each, I have come to a conclusion. My conclusion being, Dashie wins. Sheer speed vs. Sheer power. Speed wins 90% of the time against power so I give it to Dash.

The thing is.. Rainbow Dash isn't gonna fight like a Pokemon and wait for Pikachu to make a move. She'd blitz him from the start.

She also has some mean jabs Just sayingPosted Image

RD isn´t actually flying nor water type, she´s RAINBOW type!

- Damaged normally by: Psychic, Fighting

- Weak to: Dragon (According to Dragon quest), Rock&Ground (According to pet episode..)

- Immune to: Water, Ice, ELECTRIC (She controls the weather, so..) Flying

- Resistant to: Steel, Grass, Fire, Dark, Ghost, Bug, Poison, Normal

Try as hard as you want, I´ll always find the way for her to win

Try to try again

To see yourself again from time to time.

I was always confused by flying types being weak to lightning. If you aren't grounded, or aren't the easiest path available, electricity won't have much of an effect. An example is a bird on a power line. They aren't grounded, so they aren't hurt. Now if they chew into it, that's another story. So if Dashie is just flying around, Pikachu would have to control the electricity very strictly and precisely in order to force a lighting bolt to travel through Dashie. The problem then becomes an issue of stamina and focus. If Dashie sticks near trees, poles, or other objects, the electricity would be easily lost to the nearby object. As long as Dashie stays on the move, Pikachu will have to keep focusing extremely hard to zap her. Dashie can fly all day, but it won't take long before that little mouse is exhausted from the immense amount of control needed to attack Dashie.

Of course, if Dashie gets hit once, it's probably over. Just a battle of focus and stamina then!

I mean, if that's okay with you...

I have read the earlier posts, and all you keep spouting is how "Rainbow Dash must be immune to electrical shocks due to the fact that she is in fact a Weather Pony". Though you fail to acknowledge Trixie's electrical attack and just call it a "electrical shock produced by magic" that is supposedly different.

It is quite obvious you only skimmed over the posts and in fact did not read them. Not only did I not state that but I actually implied she is damageable upon the larger shocks, but nothing more than the big ones would truly hurt her while the others would be distractions to use.

I even stated the whole "Trixie Shock" scene to this post.....

I've read your posts, and you've never once acknowledged the Iron Tail move, even when someone had already mentioned it earlier. In a melee round, Rainbow Dash would be beaten down so easily, it's not even funny. Black Belt or not. Others have even posted about Pikachu's run-ins with martial arts-specific pokemon as well. And when it comes to small shocks even remotely "distracting" Rainbow Dash, then Pikachu would have quite an easy deal providing many "distractions" her way, which inevitably allows the pokemon the opportunity to provide a much larger attack.
