Ponies in Socks?

Yes, I realize this is pretty much old news, but apparently, this whole "Ponies in Socks" things is kind of well known, and I'm not quite sure why. Basically, it's fan art of, well... what the name implies. I think it also had a whole section of "Drawfriend Stuff" on Equestria Daily. What are your views on this? Do you like it, don't like it, or do you just not care? Me, well the art is nice, but its nothing too special for me...

As for my opinion on them, provided the ponies aren't drawn with any sort of erotic or risqué undertones, I find them to be quite D'aww worthy. ^^

Guess I'm neutral. Seeing the occasional ponies with socks is nice, but I know it would annoy the hell out of me if it started overtaking most art of ponies being done, in general.

I agree with you, but from what I've seen it's like for every one image that's neat to look at or creative, there's 5 to drown it out with their horrid presence of erotica. I know erotica is a genre all in itself and fully respect it but it's just a bit maddening that so far if I just want to see a simple image of something I get face slammed with erotica, and more often than not images into the perverse (I dare you to Google any pony and NOT find something like that scrolling down the pages in images, uuugh)

Neutral, I think we can all agree that ponies in socks are extremely cute. I don't truly have an opinion on them though. I like them sometimes, but not all the time.

nudity with limbs wear make things look a bit of erotic, (i learnt it in art class ._.)

after the neo-classica people like using it to make characters look erotic, but not beutifull (they showing us realistic nude chicks and dudes, art class is a bit better then any other class X//D)

Really cute as long as they aren't drawn in a sexual matter. I personaly am Neutral though as I like them normaly drawn better (aka w/o socks).

The origin started a year ago, not in 2012, I know this because I just searched it and EqD had news on the thing in July 22, 2011. You can see that the thread Zoop says is the origin of the thing is way off by a year and the EqD link is this http://www.equestriadaily.com/2011/07/drawfriend-stuff-ponies-in-socks.html and as far as I'm, it really doesn't add cuteness unless purposely added to the pony, and if you see a donkey in socks then you would know that you pretty much have to make the pony look cuter.

I don't mind them, some can be pretty cute. One thing I don't get however is how a lot of people find ponies in socks perverted. It just doesn't make sense to me.

 

Think about it: A pony being 100% naked nearly all the time: Totally fine and not perverted.

 

Put a pair of socks on that already naked pony: Pornography.

I love me some ponies in socks. Sometimes I like the seductive ones, most of them, but not all. I would rather the pose not be TOO suggestive. If it's simply just somepony looking at the viewer seductively, I'll most likely like it, but if they're in a pose where 'that region' is showing, even if there's nothing actually there, I probably won't like it. or even if there's panties covering it, I usually won't like it anyway.
