gaming Parents playing video games?

Have you ever seen one of your parents playing video games, or have you tried to teach them how to play video games? Once I tried teaching my dad how to play KILLZONE 3. It seemed that he wanted to hug the enemies rather than shoot them or brutally melee them.

My dad plays video games and sucks at them. I got him to play Resident Evil 4 a few weeks back and he was determined to finish it. Needless to say it was hilarious.

My dad used to play Nintendo 64 with my me and my sister when I was young, but he doesn't play video games anymore. I guess because of work he just doesn't have time to play video games anymore.

 

However, one day I plugged in the old Nintendo 64 and we beat Super Mario 64 together. Surprisingly, he was still very good at it.

My dad is a huge gamer. lately he's been into diablo 3, but his favorite is borderlands, and I believe he's pre ordered the second one. Honestly though, he plays just about anything, he actually introduced me to most of my games that I play. Now if only I could get him to watch mlp.

Grandad- yes he had played alot, he has played CoD Mw3 and called it trash, he's played megaman and all kinds of game when ever i visit i tend to bring my 360 over

My two parents are fans of the Diablo series.

They constantly ask me to play Diablo 3 with them when ever they are home. My aunt and I also play a bunch of Runescape.

My mom likes to play Animal Crossing or Harvest Moon on occasion.

My dad likes Bejeweled or casual games like that, though once in a while he'll play a sports game like Madden NFL.

 

Needless to say they suck at all of the above! haha

My dad will play some old arcade games from time to time. Like the original Donkey Kong. When I was younger we would play the frogger game on the PS1.

My Dad used to play games alot, he occasionally does, its just he has 2 jobs and is exhausted to play them, and them probably lost interest. He does play games like Donkey Kong, Mrs Pacman and Galaga when we go to Dave and Busters, the last console i saw him play was the Nintendo 64, he played Super Mario 64 and Paper Mario.

My mom used to play Super Mario Bros with us all the time when we were younger. Now she plays when she has the time. The last time she beat a game (New Super Mario Bros Wii) was a few months ago. I try to get her to play other platformers we have, but she doesn't have time.

My dad has never been one for video games. My brothers got him to play Mario Party once when we were little and he fell asleep. xD

Nope. I'm the only gamer in my family. My uncle may have tried them and my mom sometimes asks me to teach her. Which I refuse to do cause 1) She has no idea where to even start ~and~ 2) Normally im playing Gears. Which has one the steeper learning curves.

My Parents use to play some NES games. Well to describe this easily from the past, my Mom used to play Super Mario Bros. 1 and My Dad used to play Punch-Out and Pinball. That's pretty much that I can remember.

I once convinced my mother to play Nazi Zombies. At first she was as bad as you would expect she would be, but after a while... Hey, my mom plays Nazi Zombies, and is pretty good at it!

Only game I've ever seen my mom play was Pokemon Puzzle League for Nintendo 64, and I'm 100% sure that was due to the puzzle gameplay and not the pokemon license. I've never seen my dad play any video games, though according to him he used to be a wiz at Space Invaders back when he lived near an arcade as a kid.

I bought myself an Xbox360 for myself to play and it came with MW3 which I really didn't like to much (because I suck at first person shooters) however my father loves it he continuely plays it when I'm not using the Xbox he also uses the Xbox more than me just for that game but as long as he pays for an Xbox live family pack I'm not going to complain.

When I was young my parents used to play on the Nintendo 64 with me. Mario kart 64 was always a fun one my mom enjoyed, and my dad was more of a fan of this arcade fighter I can't remember the name of.

Now though, they have a hard job figuring out the controls, even for something like tetris.

My parents are still at the "pause that online game and come over here" stage. I don't think they understand the concept of electronics yet either, considering they have at least two tech-related problems a day.

my mom is a horrible gamer. i think it is because she didn't play the old style games when she was a kid so she is not a good fit for the games of today
