This is true. I've heard from many people how they are better at games drunk or high, and it's almost never true.

While I haven't gotten drunk, I have had shots of liquor (it's legal in Louisiana if you're with parents), although I hated them. The only alcoholic beverage that I don't mind is wine (I've also had some cake flavored rum before. I've got to say, it was pretty good)

I don't think I'll ever touch alcohol. It's sometimes funny seeing others drunk because they become quite silly, but I don't really support people to get plastered; drinking socially is more accepting in my terms.

Just to contradict myself, there is a level of drinking that makes me shoot better in beer pong. Sober, I'm useless. Hammered, I'm useless. That sweet spot? I'm sinking cups beautifully. That's the only game I can think of that benefits.

Well i have a bit of a confession that even though i am not old enough to drink i have had some bad experiences while "under the influence" One resulting with a knee issue that messed my leg up pretty bad. however never had i ever been drunk online. Just don't drink, it hurts your knees.

This for me. Despite the fact that I was - for a time - apparently the official 'forum drunk' if people in the chat room were to be believed due to my avatar, I've only ever had enough in me at times to get me a little bit on the silly side of things. I've never been what I would classify as drunk. I enjoy my inhibitions, and prefer to keep them with me at all times thank you very much.

 

I'm a stuffy old goody-two-shoes, aren't I? I haven't had anything with any sort of alcohol in it in... close to three weeks I think, and nearly a month before that.

All these stories of sobriety seem so strange to me. It's just not how things work where I live. The only people that don't drink are straightedge. Alcohol is part of Wisconsin life.

 

It sounds like a strange thing to say, but that's just how it is. I know a lot of people, and I can literally say that other than straightedge people and children under the age of 12, most people drink here. There's a reason our small towns are two churches and five bars.

Though from my experience I'm more of an honest and nice drunk. I turn into a regular Applejack when I'm on the sauce.

I don't think I'd cause trouble but I definitely would talk to people more and whether if that's a good or a bad thing is really up to you!

but although i have been over the limit while on the forums but I've never rely been in that 'not fully aware of what i'm doing' kind of drunk. because well if i reached that point i don't think i would be near a computer

When I was a young tyke, I found it to be amusing to drink all of the alcohol on the table at our New Years Eve party every year, to which my parents laughed at. I don't remember much of my childhood due to it, so I don't remember being drunk.

On the other hand, my father loves to get drunk. And when he gets drunk, he gets hammered. He will do ANYTHING stupid to make someone laugh when he is. One year, he headbutted a tree with a helmet on. And every year after a party, I have to carry his drunk ass inside.

I'm really not big on drinking. It makes my stomach hurt. When I do, though, I'm usually out with other people, not at home. And even when I do drink at home, again, usually, I'm with other people, not by myself or in a position to go off by myself and use a computer.

On this forum? No. There are a lot of fun things to do online while drunk, but hitting a forum does not rank very high IMO. The most fun I've had online while drunk: playing Eve...leading a gang of cheap little ships into dangerous places and ramming the biggest target we can find. We all die in a fire, and confuse/scare the locals. Good times.

I'm too young to drink. But one time a friend gave me an energydrink from another country and he didn't know where it was from. He said that I could try it. I drank the whole can and after 15 mins I started to feel... Weird. Then I saw that it was a text. 3,0% (something something).

I have not posted on this forum while drunk, but i have while drinking. The legal age to buy drinks in the UK is 18, but you can consume them in your own home at just about any age. I do enjoy a good bottle of Budweiser while i sit and browse the internet or play games, as such i have posted while drinking before.

 

It takes a considerable amount to get me drunk, meaning I've only ever been online while drunk once, but i was only playing WoW, i was in a state of depression so decided that getting drunk was the best idea (which it never is, alcohol being a depressant) and sat drinking whiskey, before i knew it i had drank the entire bottle and proceeded to fall off my chair, then be very ill. Since then i don't drink whiskey and i try not to let my drinking get out of hand.

 

The moral of the story is, know your limits and don't drink when depressed or upset. :/

I do not drink, and that is by choice as I am not underage, so there is no option in the poll for me. =(

 

Honestly, it's typically hard for me to identify if somebody is drunk to begin with. I just don't hang out with a crowd that drinks much to begin with. People can do whatever they want, but they also should leave me alone. I will never drink.

My father was a drinker... (oh god I sound like the Joker...)

 

Not a violent one, he's been sober for a good 730 days. I don't want a drink thanks to what could genetically be a double dose of alcoholism, since I'm getting Scottish / Irish genes from my mom and German / Swiss from me dad.

 

I don't get why alcohol, one of the least helpful and most destructive drugs on earth, with no medical benefits, is legal but marijuana, with things that are basically endocannabanoids (made by your brain), and pain reducers, is only legal in Cali?! (and even then only for medical purposes)

 

I'm also, in america, 7 years too young to legally drink. But still, I just don't want to.
