Music that touches your soul

There's a lot of metal out there that has so much emotion sewn into it that it's impossible for me to not get an intense high from listening, not to mention the extreme emotional impact they exert from me. I could go on and on into greater detail about these songs, but it would probably not be incredibly interesting for most.

Instead, I'll just say how I literally shed a few tears the first time I heard this song in its entirety. Not only a beautiful song, but a breathtaking video as well. It won an award of some kind, is all I know.)

Music that touches my soul, eh? Well, one music that really touched my soul and even made me shed some tears is "Farewell to Sue" from Playstation game "Grandia". The entire scene when this music plays is absolutely both heartwrecking and beautiful.

it'd have to be songs such as these:

this one because it was on the second album i had ever bought in my life. i had not been interested in music prior, but then this album comes into my life, and it got turned around completely. that album is one of my favorites, even if i don't listen to it that much nowadays. listening to that album on a chilly, winter day... it's the perfect soundtrack for my wandering around in snowy landscapes.

an album i discovered in the dark Autumn last year. i had found an site with a lot of good, free music on it, and this song on one particular album i played constantly in school when doing a certain kind of assignment. it's just so perfectly moody; it captures the cold, dark Autumn in my town perfectly. walking around the dark Autumn afternoons, staying up late in school to work on stuff, the 45-minute walk home... perfect ambiance. it fills me with a sense of bliss unlike anything i have experienced.

As a matter of fact, a lot I can't link vids right now so bear with me and look them up for me.

King Crimson's Starless, because of its haunting beginning, quiet build up and epic ending.

King Crimson's Book of Saturday, for it's peaceful and kind vibe.

Evile's In Memoriam, because I've been listening to this band for years + the fact that it was written for their deceased bassist who was a black man himself and had been subject to racial slurs prior to joining the band.

Devin Townsend's Where We Belong (hasn't been released yet but has been used in his videos before) because... well, I don't have a clue. It just sounds soul touching.

SYL's Spirituality, because its the most powerful song I've heard with a message that kinda just fills you up.

And more.

I'm honestly having trouble picking. There are many songs from different genres that have given me feels over time...

Hm. Here. Two wildly different songs that have touched me.

Lyrics in the spoiler tag for those who can't understand screaming.

This time it was our summer

It was something no one could take from us

Sometimes that night seems so close

Like I could hold it

You said alright we'll be fine

But how could we have known

Do you remember

Roll down the window, let in night air

I always thought we'd be together

You said that we'd never gone this way before

I must not let you die

Your memory survives

I hope that tonight things are fine

As I lay awake

The light cuts the southern sky

And that glass stings my lungs

These scars they will always remind me of you

And how you are always with me

You're with me, you're with me

You are with me, always with me

Nothing

Won't you stay and be with me tonight

Don't you know I tried to find those pictures with no light

I lost them as I lost you

Waiting to see and be with you again

Wishing the best for you my lost friends

To hear you laugh one last time

I hope you know I tried to find those pictures Jordo

Of us that night in Detroit with The Pressure Point

And I now feel the need to fly and hide inside

And I now feel the need to hide inside your loving arms

Man I swear I'd give the whole thing up for you

Looks like nobody listened to Nujabes before.

Almost all of his songs are this awesome, and they are so relaxing and so good.

This one makes me cry because it remembers me about my best friends and how much fun we had.

For me,music is one of the greatest way to show your emotions...

...As those video proves.

http://youtu.be/Zt-JLbSXnXQ

The song is about a man who was created via chemical experiment and never had a mother. He's sad, because he doesn't have any family. He's also angry. Kinda crazy. Wants to kill the mother, whom he doesnt have, but he wants also love, from the same mother. So kind of emotional and psychological song.

In this one,the song talk about the story of a boy & a girl. The girl is dying or leaving and she wants to tell him but she cannot find the courage to tell him so she spends the last of her time with him.

This one is short, but it's pure bliss for me.  It's one of the songs I turn on whenever I'm feeling sad or when I'm going to sleep.

I also like this one because it gets me motivated.  And being a history buff of sorts, it reminds me of the past wars.
