I haven't traded any of mine, mainly because I only have two packs, but I mean to buy more. I prefer to collect cards instead of trade them. Anyone else not like to trade?

Well I only trade my extras. I collect them all, if I can. When you collect enough packs, and you only need a few more cards in the collection, but you have tons of extras that you do not want... then you will want to trade.

Does anybody know how long series 2 has been out? And also if they are making series 3 when it may come out. I don't know since I just recently got into the cards. Also are Foil cards the only cards wit the parts of the giant pictures on them? Cause I got a normal card with the corner of a huge picture on the back of it.

Series 2 has been out since April, although it was pre-released in March at Big Apple Ponycon. And there are foil puzzles so that corner piece you have is pieced together with 8 other cards. If you want more information about each card there are checklists available online. If you go to Toywiz.com then you can see each individual card there as well.

 

And they have not announced series 3 yet.

I trade online via tradecardsonline.com. I have gotten some pretty sweet trades from on there, and there are a number of people who still want to trade series 1 cards.

 

I have lots of series 1 cards, but the only one that I need is the series 1 Rainbow Dash con promo. If I can ever sell all my extras, maybe I can make enough money to buy one...

Quick question:  I know that the newest tin comes with RD stuff and it has Fluttershy on the front as well as the other Mane in the background.  But when I was walking around my store I noticed another tin much smaller with all the 6 on it, there wasnt any really indication as to who's tin it was.  All it said was "Foil Card Inside!!!!!!!".  Anyone have any idea as to who's tin it is?  I also looked for a picture of it online but couldn't find anything.

Sounds like the the first tin I bought. Not clear on the official name though ("Canterlot Collector's tin" comes to mind).

 

Anyhow, it contains a few series 1 packs, a Twilight foil, and a Grand Galloping Gala poster.

I've bought around 20 packs of trading cards, and all I get is Mane 6 foil cards.. hoping for others.. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

I wouldn't consider anything bad since others are willing to trade for them. Just takes a little longer to complete the collection.

6 dollars for the Gala tin? That is insanely cheap for what you're getting. Normally its $12+ everywhere I look. Where did you find it that cheap?

I think you can have as many as you want... I have had up to 3 but only because I could only find 3 trades that I wanted at that time.

Does anypony know a good place to find the card packs?  I mean all my stores are fully stocked on all cards except for MLP.  My walmart carries around 20 Gala Tins (for 10 bucks each) and a couple of RD tins.  But no matter how many times I look the MLP box is always empty, even though the other boxes are always getting refilled.  Any idea where a good place to get them?

If the card box is empty then there is no chance of getting the packs in stores.

 

There are select Targets that have the Super Fun Packs on the bottom left parts of individual checkout walls that contain exclusive foil stickers, one for each of the mane 6. I actually really like the super fun packs themselves because they contain 3 foil cards and no other stickers or standees - perfect for if you already have each of the stickers and standees. I even got a gold foil in one of them.

 

But I concur about getting the box. So worth the money, and you get an exclusive to the boxes box topper.

I was wondering 2 things. 1st, where is a place where I can find or do good research on current card prices? I would look this up, but due to the nature of my question, what I find might be considerably dated.

 

2nd, would getting a VA to sign a card of their character make it worth more or less, especially with the exclusives or goldens? I would think this would be a no brainer yes, but back when I played Magic, I had some cards signed by the artists, and that made them worth less (or at least I was told).

Thanks a lot for the help. My only problem I'm finding with that site, though, is that I can't look up the prices of promo cards, and those are the ones I'm most interested in watching.
