Hearth's Warming Eve is my favorite. Here's why:

 

"First, I loved how this episode explained the history of Equestria. I thought the “three tribes” idea made a lot of sense, as each tribe depended on the other two for different reasons. The parts the mane 6 had in the play were also well done. We get the feeling that the 6 founders of Equestria were very similar to the mane 6, yet different enough to give off an interesting vibe. I’ve heard some people say the mane 6 in Hearth’s Warming Eve were out of character, but they were supposed to be. The mane 6 weren’t the founders!

 

Applejack was my favorite character in this episode. Her sarcasm when talking to Pinkie was quite enjoyable, with lines like “That’d be a first,” “Where should I start?” and “Heaven forbid that should happen, your chancellorship.”

 

Hearth’s Warming Eve is also home to some of my favorite background music in the show. All of it was great, but the best would have to be the music that plays during the unicorn parts. I’m not sure why I enjoy it so much, but I do. Top off the episode with a short, but sweet song and you’ve got my favorite episode in the series thus far ;)"

Favorite episode? Well, I would have to say Lesson Zero. Twilight is my least favorite of the Mane Six, but I love that episode. Rarity and Twilight were funny, Rarijack started to become canon, Fluttershy surprised me, it kept me entertained, I just loved that episode.

Season 4 finale aside, it's a tough decision. I think I'd probably either have to go with Sonic Rainboom, or Keep Calm and Flutter On. Both are excellent episodes in my opinion, considering Sonic Rainboom is what got me interested in the community in the first place...yeah, it's up there

Pinkie Pride. It's just so enjoyable and entertaining the whole way through. All the songs are fantastic and Pinkie Pie is written so perfectly here that it makes the character derailment she suffered through most of S4 almost forgivable. Not to mention that CheesyPie is the best ship ever in the history of shipping.

Magical Mystery Cure is my current favourite, I love that episode. Canterlot Wedding was my first episode and holds a special place in my heart for this reason. Pinkie Apple Pie is another favourite

Return of Harmony.

My favourite writer and my favourite antagonist in two exciting and hillarious episodes. Just Great.

Gosh, I have many favourite episodes. It's usually hard for me to pick just one!

 

But at the moment, my favourite episode at the moment is The Best Night Ever. It's such a lighthearted episode. I especially love how the writers satirised fairy tales. I also thought that the character interactions and the Mane 6 in their Gala dresses were great.

 

I really wished we had more episodes like The Best Night Ever, episodes that are just about lighthearted fun are really refreshing.

I can't pick between Dragonshy or Return of harmony Part 2.. I loved it both.. I loved the drastic shift among everypony in the mane 6 in Return of harmony.. and frankly i think It was one of the best lessons in the series.. And dragonshy because of fluttershy cuteness overload..

Ah, this is a tough question! I would have to go with "Keep Calm and Flutter On" though. This is my favorite episode b/c I love the way Discord acts, he is always doing things in such a silly and confusing manner! In this episode Celestia thinks he can be reformed! When I first watched this episode I was with the other ponies.. "You're kidding, right." I mean, Discord loved spreading chaos, what makes you think he will just give this up?! Then as I watched through the episode I started to think that he would have to be imprisoned back into stone, but then when he learned that he would no longer be friends with Fluttershy and gave in, I was so happy! Discord in my opinion may be a little rude and what-not at some points, yes. But he means well.. somewhat. He realizes how much friends mean to him. I especially loved the episode because this is when I realized Discord would be in more episodes to come.. and I was right! 
TL;DR Discord is a great addition to the ponies friendship!

It's About Time. The way that it showed all the stuff which ended up only making sense in the end was what hooked me with the pilot. Also, I love paradoxes.

Bridle Gossip and Filli Vanilli because of Flutterguy. It made me laugh more than anything I'd seen on the show .

Twilight's Kingdom. Because they revamped Tirek almost equally as bad-ass and because this episode was actually kind of dark, thanks to the main villain.
