Dashie is my girl! Almost all of my pony merch has her on it <3 I know I should probably expand my collection, but I can't help myself!

What sort of merch?  Take any pics?  There are several Rainbow Dash brushables and other figures (one of which is a bank) occupying my Rainbow Dashrine, and I've got a few shirts.  I'd like a watch, but I don't even normally wear a watch. xD

 

It bugs me somewhat that the MLP fan-art tumblr page I rely upon for Dash-art has gone multi-fandom; just makes it that much harder for me to find stuff to post.  At least I ran across this piece:

Here's a picture of all the Dashie stuff I have! A Crystal Empire keychain (Hot Topic), a figurine from the Crystal Empire set (Target), t-shirt (Hot Topic), a beanie baby plushie (this was a gift so I'm not super sure where it's from), and a wallet (Hot Topic)!  I'm currently rocking an R2D2 watch, but a Dashie watch would be so awesome! Where were you thinking of getting one from?

I'll be using one or both of these images as visual references for upcoming EQG Dash drawings.  And, while blue is my preference, I also plan on doing skin tone variants.

 

No one else had the chance to post, but I went ahead and completed the line art for my aforementioned EQG Dash drawing.

Well, now I've heard everything lol.

 

I took some screen-caps from the two vids; I like seeing either Rainbow in different outfits.

^ Admittedly, I'm kind of a sucker for bare shoulders.  I'm tempted to draw Babe in one or both of these outfits, but I should probably finish one of the four hundred other "cosplay" drawings I've started first. ^ ^;

 

Nothing against Daring Do, but I think the outfit looks better on Rainbow Dash.

And it's purely coincidental that her butt is in this screencap.  Why you lie, boi?

 

Concerning the episode: I like the enthusiasm Rainbow has for the Daring Do novels; always have.  I'm glad that hasn't waned in the least since the events of "Daring Don't."  Why on Earth would it?  Has Daring become less awesome?  NO.  (Still like that episode; I don't care what anyone says.)

Okay, I will start off by admitting that Dashie isn't my favorite of the Mane Six; that award goes to Fluttershy, in my book.

 

That being said, I started out not liking her at ALL - RD came across as pushy, arrogant and rather self-centered, and I had known MORE than enough folks like that all through my school years, so she didn't impress me at all with her cooler-than-thou attitude.  However, she served the dynamic for the go-getter of the group, so I simply accepted her as she was and went on with the show.

 

What changed my mind and began to get me liking her was Tank.

 

With all her arrogance, to the point of making the other possible companions compete to win her affections, I was kinda left grinding my teeth about halfway through the race just to get through it.  Then, torty-boy shows up and saves the day, and Dashie took him on as her buddy, even going so far as to get him a little propellor-thingy so he could fly around with her.  I found that to be very out-of-character for her... and I do loves me some stereotype-busting.

 

That's where I started liking her; what cemented a place in my heart for her was once again Tank - and what RD went through to keep him from hibernating.  It touched me that she would go to such great lengths to 'save' him... even going so far as to try to stop winter from coming.  To some, it may have still seemed selfish; to me, it was absolutely adorable... proof further of her loyalty to Tank, as well - encompassing her element wonderfully as she does these things so he won't 'miss out' on the wintry fun.

 

After seing that, I went back and paid more attention to her roles in other episodes.  I LOVE her Daring Do habit, and she's grown on me to the point where I'm happy to watch an RD-heavy episode now, and she certainly has earned my respect as the show has progressed.

 

Fascinating, how you find yourself changing your mind about something, once given a proper chance.

The next episode looks like it'll be a lot of fun, and the staff seems really excited to show it off so I hope it delivers.

Well, I finished my banner and just submitted it to the admins.  If they ultimately don't use the banner, I'll gladly post it here.  But, in the hopes that it will pop up sooner or later, I'm only gonna share this one bit of it in the RDFC for now:

Regardless of how things work out, I really enjoyed working on this project.  At first blush, the upcoming episode seems to have all the right ingredients: Rainbow Dash, Daring Do (related, at least), and the promise of an adventure.  I feel like I'm gonna enjoy it.
