Well I just... Watched eight straight episodes. Finishing off season two. xD Seems as though they mostly paired RD with Fluttershy this time; I guess I hoped for some more RD / Pinkie antics. But I liked the RD / FS dynamic a lot in "Hurricane Fluttershy" (which I, despite its title, consider a Dashie episode lol). I was proud of my bold blue pegasus in that one.

 

Yeah, it's an awesome awesome awesome episode to be sure . You can really see that some of the lessons from earlier on in the season stuck with her, and it's really satisfying and touching to see Dash be so sensitive and supportive . Smashing the record? Being an awesome flier? Nah, the important things are that Cloudsdale gets water and Fluttershy believes in herself. All that other junk can wait.

 

A certain Season 4 episode made me hunger for more of Dash bothering hanging out with Twilight and letting us enjoy their dynamic

This topic made me think about the fact that Rainbow Dash has a bunch of different appeals for different people. Now, I've never been on the "I love Rainbow Dash cuz she's adorable" train, but I can't deny that she totally pulls it off:

 

 

 

 

 

 

Of course she also pulls off being completely awesome for those of us who love "2 kool 4 skool" characters:

 

 

 

 

 

 

She even loves reading and had an entire episode about learning, so if you like eggheads Dash has got ya covered:

 

 

 

 

 

 

Last but not least, if you want a pony that's not afraid to get her hooves dirty and fight off her enemies, she can totally kick flank too:

Well, I'm a mix between the cool and the butt-kicking part. When I saw Rainbow Dash in MMDW saving lives and bragging...

 

 

Rainbow Dash's face accurately describes how I felt. In fact, I don't think I've said this before in this topic, but Applejack used to be my number one until I saw MMDW and Rainbow Dash replaced her. I still love Applejack... but come on, Rainbow Dash is the bragging, egghead, kick-flank, adorable pony for me!

Strangely enough, I've gotten quite fond of RD myself recently.
