This is where Discord are coming back. So according to the clips he are no longer the nice guy before as seen in Keep Calm and Flutter On.

All Discord did in that brief scene was state that he needs more popcorn, that could mean anything.

 

Saying that scene is an indicator that Discord is gonna be evil again is like saying Bowser from the Mario franchise is plotting something dastardly just because you saw him order a pizza.

I can see Twilight at first suspecting Discord's gone back to his old ways when she sees all this crazy shit happening, and there he is, floating on a cloud with popcorn.

 

'Oh believe me Princess Sparkwings, I'm far more creative than these generic plagues. Alas, it'll be amusing to see how you deal with such things, hmm? I hear the number of fun police around here has diminished with Princesses Anti-Fun One and Two being gone.'

I can see Discord actually saying that. Doing things the easy way just isn't his style.  At least his character is left a bit vague as to whether he's just neutral. 

 

I guess he'll just enjoy the show just as we will be :3.

I just figured out that it's more than likely that Twilight's mom is in fact the author of the Daring Doo books.

 

I mean Twilight did say she owned all the books in the series so that would be why.

Well, I own all the books in the Discworld series, but Terry Pratchett isn't my dad. I do hope that Twilight Velvet is the author though. That would be cool!

Rarity had 2 episodes in season 2 Sweet and Elite and Sisterhood Social. She didn't get an episode is season 3 but Spike at Your Service was originally a Rarity episode but they decided against it because Rarity was really mean in it.

Rarity had 2 episodes in season 2 Sweet and Elite and Sisterhood Social. She didn't get an episode is season 3 but Spike at Your Service was originally a Rarity episode but they decided against it because Rarity was really mean in it.

 

I appreciate "Spike at Your Service" more because of this one behind-the-scenes tidbit from the creators. The idea of Rarity actually treating Spike like a slave sounds like it could've been much more unpleasant to watch than MMDW.

That's nothing new from what the Discovery press release from five days ago told us. In fact, the press release revealed the actors who'd be in it, including a very special guest star in case the latest TV promo didn't give it away.

 

So the episodes are called Princess Twilight then, huh... well that's not coincidental or anything.

The titles and synopses of episodes 3 and 4 are also out, too.

I personally don't think this image is a flashback. Why? I don't know it just doesn't seem like a flashback to me. I'd think they'd look a tad bit younger if that was a flashback. I could be wrong, though.

Here's what I think: this scene will happen before Celestia and Luna disappear, but it will give the idea that something is wrong with Luna. I still believe what we saw in the animatic clip is Luna's first transformation into Nightmare Moon before she was banished, but because of the earlier scene pictured above, and because Twilight doesn't appear to know where (or when) she is when it happens, it seems at first that Luna really has turned back to the dark side.

 

In short, this may be a red herring.

Interesting. I'm still not sure how this fits with the other things we've seen, but it does seem to show Luna doing something with the moon.

Man, who knows what's going on there, could be how the episode begins or something, but I could of course be completely wrong on that...

Anyway, I'm not really one to speculate usually, but whatever's going on there might have something to do with their disappearance, or it could just be a flashback- I'd rather wait to see what it actually is then try to prove or defend any of my silly guesses here though, not much longer yet anyway.

I just had a thought about this image. It looks like it's in show "real time", but I don't think it's Luna going bad again. You know how in the pilot season 4 episode

things go crazy and the sun and moon do what they want?

. Well, maybe this is Luna trying to prevent the eclipse. Her pose suggests she's struggling with the moon and eyes seem shut in intense concentration, also her wings have the pretty-princess-wing shape and mane seems more solid and fluid

as opposed to the NMM bat-like wings and gassy mane

.

 

We'll know what really goes down in due time, but until then LET THE SPECULATION CONTINUE.
