Electronic is not just stupid non stop "sounds".

Remixes can sometimes be better than the original.

Rock is one of the best genres to listen at any time.

He 80's werethe best decade of rock.

This generation may have a lot of bad music, but they're not all bad, you just have to keep looking.

I actually don't hate Nickleback.

I like a few Bruno Mars songs.

I like some pop songs

I don't "Hate" Justin Beibers singing, in fact hes not that bad. And I was ok with him before he became a terrible terrible person who let everything get to his head.

Miley Cyrus is a good singer, but a pretty terrible person now.

I actually use to like some of Milley Cyrus's old stuff. Haven't really listened to any of it in forever.

I can't really think of much more...  I will say that I don't really hate much of any music though, music in general is just amazing for me, and hard for me to really "hate".

I'll post I guess if I think of more.

I can't stand people who complain about "today's music" and say that "music was better back in *insert random decade*" or that "real music is dead" when that opinion is based on what is being played on the radio. Music you will like is still being made, you just need to stop being lazy and look for it.

Not only that, but "good bands" from decades gone by weren't as popular as commonly thought. If this were 1975 and you turned a radio on, the chances of hearing Donna Summer would be much higher than Led Zeppelin.

Exactly. The only reason you hear certain bands from those decades is because they transcended all of the music that just wasn't as good. They didn't just have a flash in the pan kind of popularity.

ABBA is better than The Beatles. Yes, you read that correctly.

the Beatlemania era was just forgettable knockoffs of 50s rockabilly (although "Please Please Me" is quite good). Their "artistic/deep" later period wasn't much better. John Lennon was a pompous, obnoxious, impressionable druggie. George Harrison was the only member of that group I liked. The songs he wrote for them were much better, although the greatness of "All Things Must Pass", his solo album, was mainly because of Phil Spector's production.

ABBA, on the other hand, made music that was always catchy, likeable and well-composed. They're better than guilty pleasure status. They have alot of fans in places you wouldn't expect too, as a testament to their awesomeness(Mikael Akerfeldt of Opeth, for example). Plus they're Scandinavian like me. It's easy to see which is the better band.

Everytime someone listens to KidzBop...a baby dies. (jk)

But seriously, KidzBop is just terrible. The kids aren't talented, and they probably think that they're all that. Also, the censor problem. If the song has bad words, then don't cover it. Better yet, don't cover any songs at all.

And if you weren't convinced...

Example B:

Example C *worst one imo*:

It bothers me when people say you shouldn't collect records because the sound quality isn't as "good" as CD's. >.> My mom says this sometimes and I just wanna facepalm so hard. Ugh.

I've actually heard that the sound quality of records is better than the sound quality of CD's. Not sure if that's true or not.

Depends what you mean by "better".

I've always thought most audiophiles believe that vinyl recordings are often superior to CDs.  (Well, I guess I'm the second to say that...)

They will think that if they believe the mastering and pressing quality of a certain vinyl pressing is "better" than any other CD version of said album.

  • Random members of the public that say they can tell the difference between 320Kbps CBR/V0 VBR and FLAC when listening on their smartphones. You can't, you won't ever, so stop pretending.

  • People who buy vinyl records because their "retro and cool" annoy the hell out of me. That is not a good reason to buy them.

Acoustic versions of songs are always better than the originals.

Dubstep is good. Stop hating it just because you think you have the worlds greatest taste in music. It's dynamic, interesting and a hell of a lot more enjoyable to listen to than a lot of other genre's.

Well, yeah, it is a popular opinion. But...just wanted to express my hate for it.

Honestly, KidzBop was cringeworthy back when I was a kid. I can't believe it still even exists.

Yep, especially if they're just using those standard Apple earbuds. Even if I had audiophile equipment, idk if I'd really be able to tell, and I'm very picky about sound quality. But even then, I still have this obsessive compulsion to download and rip all of my music into lossless files anyways.

Digimortal is Fear Factory's best album.

George Fisher is better than Chris Barnes.

Every Korn album is good, even See You On The Other Side.

Smokahontas is the only good Attack Attack! song.

Six Feet Under is the worst Death Metal band.

Metallica>Megadeth

Djent is not a genre.

Backstreet Boys and N*SYNC are brilliant boybands.

Nu Metal is an underrated genre.

I hate how Rap these days are being compared to the Rap back in the days. The rap in our decade & age now, is nothing compared to the rap in the old era. Because, the rappers that we used to have actually rapped about the struggles and how our world is now. The rap now, is just only about money, sleeping, and whatever non sense. Not to hate on rap at all.

Maybe a late response, but I have to agree with this post.   I, for one, despise Rap.  Why? Rap is Crap.  nuff' said.

I have to disagree with this generalization. Not all hip hop/rap music today is about "bling and bitches".

Kurt Cobain was a druggie moron deserving of no idolization.

Speaking of Kurt Cobain, here's an unpopular opinion about him:

The people who claim he was murdered are probably right. His death is not consistent with a suicide. This was the opinion of Tom Grant, the Los Angeles County detective who was hired by Courtney Love to investigate Cobain's disappearance/death. He has alot of good information about the case on websites like CobainCase.com

I mean I personally think Nirvana is grossly overrated. But I like reading the stuff about Cobain because it's interesting.
