Do you like holidays?

I love holidays because I get to spend time off from work, relax, and spend time with my family especially over Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Halloween, is honestly my favorite holiday out of them all. I think that Christmas is way too hectic; especially with all of the last minute shopping that occurs during that time of year.

 

Halloween though... that holiday is absolutely perfect for me in every way. It is right in the middle of the Fall season and that is also my favorite time of year. Did I forget to mention just how fun a holiday it is?

I am not really one for traditions

They are nice, but it's just not as relaxing as it should be.
People get all hype when things don't go perfectly at the exact time, and it's just so much stress and rushing around, they become hardly enjoyable like that :/

I love some holidays, but others I don't/don't celebrate. It always depends on what is being celebrated. Christmas, as it is called now, is an amalgamation of traditions related to the winter solstice. Since I adore winter, I celebrate it. Because I celebrate winter. But Easter, I don't celebrate, because I despise Spring and everything related to it. There aren't many holidays I celebrate during the Spring and Summer. Not too big on 4th of July anymore because "patriotism" in my country now means blind allegiance and no criticism, along with the fact that usually the people who most celebrate are of very questionable character.

But Christmas, I can do all day. I decorate for it extensively and love every moment of that time of the year. =) It always goes by so fast, though. =(

I like holidays, no matter if they are religions or part of a tradition. They have always been nice to have.

I love the holidays since it's a nice time to spend time with friends and family and eat some yummy food! I for one love cooking so I don't mind doing some cooking, though I let my mom make the mashed potatoes since she makes them better than I do.

I like them. It's something to look forward to and it hypes you up through the seasons. I love Christmas, I like Halloween. The decorating is fun! And when I see 4th of July I know that fireworks are coming soon! Even though I dont get the real experience of any holiday(which makes them boring on the day), I still like the decorating part.

Holidays are tricky for me. I am almost never off for them anymore. Some of the ones I celebrate are not mainstream. I used to have a large family that put on big celebrations, now most of our elders are dead and the younger generations, we're too messed up to keep things going. So do I like the holidays? Yes. I still do, but it's complicated. I am almost always alone on them. There is still that magical sense in the air, and I hope to never have to walk on this planet without that on those dates. But they do make me feel like a ghost or a disembodied spirit. Like I'm invisible. But there's magic in that. So, as long as the holidays remain magical, I can say I am content.
