Spectre.

Liked it until...

...they jumped 9,001 sharks by turning Blofeld into an Aizen knockoff who somehow built SPECTRE from the ground up and masterminded all the previous Craig movies... just to get back at Bond because Blofeld's daddy adopted him and loved him more when they were kids.

...

I have no words.

I Just finished watching Concussion

I normally do not like sports based movies but  seeing as it was based on a true story  i very much enjoyed it due to the mix of science and plugging it in to the life expectancy of athletes i recommend it!

I saw two movies that left me in shock for different reasons:

The Revenant - Dark and brutal, but a beautifully acted, amazingly shot, and captivating drama. Definitely one of Leo's best. 9/10.

Unfortunately, I also saw....

Norm of The North - Easily the worst animated film I've ever seen in theaters. The animation is hideous, the plot makes no sense at all, and the humor consists of juvenile pee, poop, and fart jokes. Even the kids at my showing were getting restless. 1/10.

I watched Green Mansions, that one Movie i never heard of, based on the book by the same name i never heard of.

I only knew about the Movie, since one of the characters from that book and movie, appeared in Super Friends.

The Movie is about a jungle girl called Rima...or at least the Dc Comics and Super Friends Versions are about a jungle girl, who can call animals and has special powers.

In the Movie, Rima is just kinda...not really doing much. She has a Deer always by her...thats it.

She doesnt really call animals for help nor does she fight in any way.

I have no Idea what the book is about, but the Movie is more about that one guy that falls in love in Rima.

Rima isnt even the main character in this Movie.

Well...the movie was just disappointing, because the only reason i watched it was because i wanted to see Rima fight...or call animals for help...or do anything, instead of just being a boring love interest.

Also the ending is very strange.

Im happy that this isnt an official DC Movie...because its really nothing special.

The Revenant - Holy cow, this had an atmosphere, and it was brutal! Probably one of the most brutal stories of survival I've ever seen. The kicked? This story is actually less embellished than the one it's based on! The most fictional part was that he didn't have a son and he didn't fight Fitzgerald (as Fitzgerald had managed to make it into the Army, and Glass would have went to jail had he killed him). This is the sure win for the Best Cinematography Oscar, but if DiCaprio doesn't get Best Actor for this one, you know the awards are rigged.

The Martian.

Nasa spent a lot of money on retrieving one man on Mars.I can see why it's considered a comedy, it's got quite a bit of humor in it.I also liked how scientifically accurate it was. I quite enjoyed watching this, snuggled up with my Fluttershy, some snacks and a beer.

I also watched Pixels...despite the many plot holes and the bad storyline,it was ok. Not a serious movie but still fun to watch, without needing to think too much about what's going on in it.

I saw Tomorrowland recently and while I do enjoy optimistic Sci-Fi faire this seemed a bit too saccharine even for me. It looked good, it had a good cast but just the writing was surprisingly sub-par which considering Brad Bird's other works is unfortunate. Perhaps it was more of his co writer Damon Lindelof who made the strange writing decisions, but it takes two to tango, they both wrote it.
