I'm so hyped to see who wins, it feels like I'm going to implode from the sheer excitement! Imagine how awesome it would be to see your very own logo used for something like Poniverse!

I'd say quite many; as I understand, there were some 130 entries made by just one forum member alone; me, I just had one idea, and it wasn't even that great XD

 

but my guess is that Feld0'll have a great load of logos to choose 3 winners from X3

That will be me with the 128 logos!

 

There not diferent logos thought, there diferent versions of the same logo. But i did end up sketching over 200 designs on my ipad though! Giving feld0 control by choosing from a list is usually a better strategy than just one version and then hoping he likes it.

 

Looking back at them though, I realised how I could of improved some of them. I realy wish we had more time but 3 weeks is more than enough for most people.

Yes. The contest is over at this point, @@Feld0 simply has to organize the finishing touches for who won, etc etc. He got back from his trip on Sunday, and then with Key retiring a day later, he's found himself with a lot of stuff to help tie loose ends around, as well as helping the rest of us with tickets. He's very passionate about this project and will certainty wrap it up as soon as he finds the time.

 

Sorry about the wait everypony :3 Lots of stuff been going on this month. I personally can't wait to see how this turns out, and how all the submissions fare.

Back from my trip, and there are a few things to wrap up here!

 

First of all, submissions are now officially closed. Hundreds of designs have been submitted, and there are a lot of great logos to choose from! Getting through all of the logos will take some time, but I've already been able to get through a good chunk of them. Thank you to everyone who entered!

247 files have come in, but some of those actually contain multiple submissions (such as a PDF file with 64 logos in it ), so the actual count of logos is higher than that. I'll have an exact count when the winners are chosen - I'll have had the chance to look and count every last submission by then!

In my opinion, if we keep on sending our entries (albeit the deadline) just because @Feld0 hasn't done picking the winner.... the judging will be further delayed as it will be an even tougher decision to decide who'll win because of the additional new entries.

 

It will be making the job more tedious than it already is.

 

Therefore, I decided to NOT send-in my completed designs, to be fair. And I hope the other bronies will understand the weigh of the burden from the judge(s)'s side of things by not adding more submissions for the contest.

Feld0's in the later stages of judging as far as I'm aware, and won't be too much longer before he can post the results and finish this little contest project up Due to being busy running around and doing other things, I haven't actually gotten the chance to view most of the entries, but I'm excited to see what the top-tier logos are that pop out. We shall see what develops

I really cannot wait to see who is the winner! (I know it's not me :3) But it will be nice to see that someone who obviously likes ponies and hopefully is involved with the forums will be the logo designer! Good luck everypony!

I received all of your entries, Matrix and Jamie. With the volume of submissions that came in, it would have been slightly impractical to reply to each and every one of them, but everything that made it into our inbox was considered!

 

Current Status: All submissions have been reviewed and a shortlist of the best ones has been compiled from them. We're currently evaluating the shortlist to pick the three winners.

As of this point:

-We're finishing up voting. No winners have been picked by anyone by any means. The staff have mostly all given their opinions, and we'll be deciding and post the results soon.

 

-As Feld0 is the one designing Poniverse, the one who owns the site this logo is going to represent, his continued consistent input on this has been all but required. It's not about everything needing to go through him, it's a simple fact that, of the very short list of things that need his presence, something like this needs it. That said, seeing as he doesn't return from finals till around Friday, we'll be seeing if we can end this ourselves.

 

-I get people are irritated. I get that it's taking forever. But please keep in mind that we're not sitting around with thumbs up where the sun doesn't shine, either, and are fully aware how many days tick by. Honestly, I wish this thing got done a while ago at this point, and I'll personally be going around today and getting any remaining staff members who have not given their input on the entries thus far, to please do so, so we can get this done and over with.

@@~Chaotic Discord~, people are getting impatient?  Why?  I mean, granted, I get that the contest has been going on for awhile and yeah, I didn't submit an entry myself, so I don't have the same reasons as artists who did to want to see the results, but still!  C'mon everypony!  Our admins and moderators have lives as well, and the fact that they're able to balance those with making sure everything here keeps running smoothly is pretty awesome as it is!  On top of that, they're taking time out of both of those activities to figure out which one of these hundreds of entries is going to be the Poniverse logo!  So just at least give them all the benefit of your patience, OK?  It's the least we can give back after all the time and energy they've already given to us and the site.
