What's your view on Valentine's Day?

Since the new episode is coming up, and it's related to V-Day, I asked myself, "what do other people think about Valentine's Day?". Personally, I feel that it's good that people preach love (not just romantic love) on the day, but I also feel that the day is highly overrated because the preaching of love isn't consistent in other days. It seems like an excuse to enjoy other peoples' company for just one day. Why not be as loving and caring for the rest of the year? Anyways, post your opinion if you want to share your thoughts.

When I'm single on Valentine's day (like this year it seems...) I pretty much ignore it and it's just another normal day.

 

When I'm in a relationship I hate this day with a passion because I feel like I'm forced to buy chocolate/flowers/things. It's just another commercial holiday. Why would we need a day to celebrate love anyway? Shouldn't that be everyday?

 

Overall, I feel like it would be better if this holiday didn't exist!

that doesn't mean that i see it as an excuse to pay attention to Feathers. i do whenever the hell i get the chance, and i've written him a plenty lot of things about how much i love him, and had many chats with him during the months that has come by. i'll just see this as a reminder try and do one of those extremely long and elaborate love poetry/prose for him again.

 

also, you can say whatever you want, but those heart-shaped boxes with sugar-coated jelly hearts are FUCKING DELICIOUS SHIT AND I WILL ALWAYS OBTAIN THEM NO MATTER WHAT.

I've always appreciated what St. Valentine did to try saving marriage back in the Roman times, but that's it. I thought I had a special someone, but I didn't. And since I don't have one, I might as well just remember the historical aspect of it.

Every day is St. Valentines day if one is to live in brotherly and sisterly love to all.

 

But then again I don't have a girlfriend and my older brother is getting married in May so there's that.

 

Or we could just celebrate the martyrdom of the 14 saints that were all named Valentine.

Never was a big fan of holidays that can make people feel.. ya know... left out  ? I don't mind them but I'm sure others may feel down by them.

I do like the theme at least; chocolates and flowers and whatnot, although I normally only eat chocolates if nuts are involved  .

But tbh.This day just turned into a competition, for who has the better boyfriend. So i just say to my bf, we should just ignor this day. It's better when you pick me up from work sometimes and eat something, than just on one day, where everything is more expensive.

Whenever I think of Valentine's Day I think of my birthday, what with my birthday being a week before. And because of that, throughout my life I've come to associate the theme of Valentine's Day with my birthday.

I think Valentine's day is more than love between two people, I think it's important to also love yourself.  Treat yourself to something nice if you have no partner, take a nice relaxing bath with a bath bomb, buy yourself a treat and all that...

Also, remember to love those around you.  Tell your friends and family how much they mean to you, tell them you love them.  I really don't think Valentine's day should be just meant for couples, the important thing to remember on that day is the love you share between other people or yourself!!
